Caribbean Christian music....
I have to say, I need to thank Tia on so many occassions for this. I've even randomly texted her to thank her for burning me the Sherwin Gardner CD, "Closer". She gave it to me when I went to see her in June. I've had so many moments with him.

Do you listen to any Christian reggae or Caribbean music? What is it?

He has a few clips of his songs on there.
Yahoo Music also has 30 second clips oh his previous album "Leaning" http://music.yahoo.com/release/25777019

The guy wicked still. Love his music and the words of his songs. Just has a good message to them.

Well, I listen to some of the Reggae Christian artists. Papa San, DJ Nicholas, Prodigal. Don't know too many other Caribbean Christian Reggae artists outside of Jamaica. Happened to hear Sherwin when my brother played his songs from a burnt cd he got from his other christian friends. I thought he was playing some dancehall songs, and he had the nerve to tell me it's a christian song. :O But after listening to the songs over and over, i liked the messages.

jc, i am so glad that cd has uplifted you. he is an amazing aritst. i have to thank an old etj member (coconut head) for hooking me up with it a few years ago. i've sampled a few other carribean christian artists: marvia providence, papa san, chevelle franklin, stitchie, but i haven't liked any of them nearly as much as sherwin gardner.

LoL! I don't blame you. You can listen to some of her songs from her website: http://www.chevellefranklyn.net/music.html

There is also a biography of her on the site, so you can see where she made the transition from dancehall to christian reggae.

Trust me, she wicked like Sherwin. (I seem to love everyone lol) But she has a more soul full sound to her music. But still good message and reggae beat to it same way.

One of my fav tracks from Sherwin is track #8 on the "Closer" album. I think its called "Can't serve two Gods"....not sure of track names.
