Although the basic lyrics and nature of dance-hall still conjures up resistance, controversey and stigmitization (STING etc).

I feel; the multitude of new dances; positive (fun) lyrics is making it slowly emerge into wider acceptance.

And I hope that with this acceptance will come the encouragement in the form of support and funding to bring it to a even "higher level"--pushing the brand JAMAICA into the tonques, movements and riddim of the world in a new, positive way.

How does the board see dance-hall, the music and the dance 5-10 years from now?

If I'm not already in Jamaica in 5-10 years....then Jamaica will be in Canada at that time!!! I'm making it my personal mission to find as much dancehall in my surroundings as possible. I absolutely LOVE the s**t and can't get enough of it!!! So far I've found a likkle spec a dancehall up here but even that's a ray of hope.

I would love for the bulk of it to escape the confines of JA and make its way worldwide....there are too many people that want it for it to stay put.

Yeah Dancehall Nice Again!!!!Mi a try spread it roun di worl' to. Last year for my friend's birthday I sent him a Cd case of Dancehall Music. Oldies, New Rhydims, Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Yellowman etc. He's in Colombia South America. He loved it and plays it for his friends, on his way to work etc. Now him seh dat Sean Paul a deh de dis month or so.....BASHMENT!!!Mi wish di deh de Neways...Dancehall gone worldwide!!!!
