need help with new dancehall

i just returned yesterday from Jamaica and i am in desperate need of some of the new dancehall music that i heard while there. unfortunately i have NO IDEA the names of the songs nor the artists!!! lol...what a mess i am!!

if there are any dancehall experts here please help out in any way you can...lists of new songs would be fantastic....

one night i wasd in the disco and a song by a female artist came on ( i KNOW it wasn't Lady Saw....but other than that...) there were about 30 high school students there that night and they went FREAKIN CRAZY when this song came on.....it was a great riddim but i didn't catch the name....

i have spent the last um...12 hours that i have been home searching the different sites i frequent (eg. Lionmix.com) for new riddims...nothing really sounds familiar....(Inspector riddim and Dem Time Deh riddim maybe a little familiar)

i know i am asking alot of ya'll...but help a girl out if ya can.

Re: need help with new dancehall

Lillith, there is just so much of it... and the problem is, what is "new" isn't new everywhere. I buy records that are big in JA, but then here we don't start playing them for a few months. You could look at my chart if it would help. I try to update it once a month.

Current new-ish riddims we are playing in the clubs here are: Dem Time Deh, Inspector, Wipe Out, Redbull & Guinness, Nukie, Gansta Rock, Confessions, Sweet Sop, 85, Smash, Global. Just a few big ones that pop to mind... not all that new, but hope that helps.

Re: need help with new dancehall

There is a new female artist her name is Tami Chynn - check her out maybe that was who you heard. Some of the new riddims are Wipe out riddim, Driff Riddim and Inspector Riddim.

Hope this helps

Hmmm... that should make it easier, but nothing really new and female is coming to mind. The biggest female tunes over the last few months have been the two Spice tracks on 85 riddim. I still get bare farwards fi Fight Ova Man when there are nuff girls dem inna di dance. That's the only really hot female tune I can think of lately.
