Lissen to me, yah young lady.

Mekk mi tell yu sumptin.

Mi bawn a growup inna jamaica. Mi go a primary and high school juss liek dem odder bwoys.
Get inna fights, play football pon de street cawnah wid orange-juice bax and check-out dem girls like everybaddy else.

Yu see...most non-jamiacans dont know di finer side of us. Dem tink dat all we know is reggae, dance-hall and dominoe.

Many of us were taugh golf, badminton and polo in school. We learn to play di piano at an early age. Studies Brahms and Beethoven and indulge in many overseas student exchange programs. We a read bout Oliver Cromwell, Shakespeare, Isaac Newton and Arcimedes fram mi eye deh a mi knees.
Mi still can tell yu stories bout the Aztecs, the Mayas and Incas of South America...alll from grade school!

We have more insight in Spanish, African, Caribbean and European history than many a dem who bawn and grow inn dem deh kuntry.

So Pleeeze!
Mi no know what you tawk bout at your carriben table, but no tekk wi knowledge and cultural affinity fi joke. Wi bettah dan dat.

No becuase we are a likkle country, we have a wide cross section of knowledge and culture that goes well beyond ghetto-fabulous.

So yu bettah know dat!

Oh my goodness that you would dare to criticize a Master, it is SACRILEGE I tell you SACRILEGE! But seriously It is so refreshing to read that most people do not find Mona Lisa attractive, great painting but she is not beautiful.. It seems to me that a great deal of art is deemed as "Masterpieces merely for the fact that is was painted by a famous painter. Pollock and Picasso! for example are most annoying to my eyes!
