i aint worried ONE bit bout what Bounty gon say. he in Jamaica! he dont see what I see!! and I know a LOT of ppl and EVERY LAST one of them that did the vacation romance thing..got played. I also know a LOT of men, and because my significant other was carribean, i was privy to conversations and saw things to cement my belief. I was nice in saying 90% considering what i have observed PERSONALLY, i have seen it at 100%...but of course,...there are exceptions (very few though)

It is so friggen sad yo, pathetic! Some women that i met at the resort, not white women and not girls either, grown ass black women...the way that they let these guys at the parties use and abuse them was so pathetic!! I mean, it was like there was no criteria involved, the men would approach them, they would dance with them until another came along and took the other guy's place...i couldn't believe my eyes And there i am, wasting the whole night, trying to shoo the boys away, while i was looking or trying to look for "the real deal"

I do agree with this...I am not saying that it doesn't happen.....the fact it happens so much is what makes people cynical....

Hmmm well i guess ive never gone as a 'tourist' per se with the whole resort or not knowing where to go thing ....

Donts in my opinion:

-just accept the prices for things straight off, haggle because its often way over priced!
my general rule of thumb is to think about what i would pay for it if at all at home...
-be so weary of going places ( i know its been mentioned not to go certain areas due to
conflict) if you know someone who is familiar with the areas. i missed out on alot in my first few visits because of this fear to move around, yet i know of numerous people going for the 1st time and staying in what people may think is an undesirable area and had the time of their lives.
- forget there is more to JA then Bob Marley!!!
- forget the beaches are just ONE aspect to the the JA scenery
- dont be afraid to ask the locals their opinions on best places to eat, shop and party! It may not be what you have come across in the area where you're staying.
