hahahaha... well it was a treat... and wasn't me alone paying, so it was doable

and imo it was worth every cent... to wake up to that view, and sit on the balcony and watch the city come alive at night... the beds were just luxury, down comforters (it's cool up there), closet warmers so there's no mildew (damp too)... a its like a little piece of heaven... we stayed in 59 steps (which was a workout, up and down 59 steps to leave the room (so we did so as little as possible ) but just an amazing place...

we'll go back...

maybe we can swing a weekend while we're down for my mat leave... hmmmmm...

we stayed in a studio... there isn't the same level of privacy in the timbuk rooms (regular rooms).... and the studio has an kitchenette, so he cooked for me one night ...

funny thing was, we wanted to be closer to the airport for the last night for my 7am flight, so we went to town and ended up at olympia crown... going from 5* in the mountains to 2* in the city... what a complete shock to the system that was lol... but i think it was only like 5500J lol

they do beautiful weddings up there too... saw one during our stay... actually not as unreasonably priced as i thought it would be either... not cheap, but not the priciest venue on the list that i started out with...

we ended up saying our vows at tensing pen

Tensing Pen Resort - Negril, Jamaica

not an AI, but it was perfect still

I agree with this! It does have everything to do with how you act. People in JA are just people...just like here. And people here get treated differently based on how they present themselves too.

However my roots in JA are less obvious since my skin is so light....so telling people that this is part of my roots goes over alot less smooth than it would for you lol!!!

I've never really cared much though..or don't anymore. I feel home when I'm there and I don't let anyone make me feel differently. I always feel blessed and happy in JA...and most people don't treat me like a tourist once they get to know me...and the ones that do I can deel with! If I ever find my grandma...I will get her to teach me to set people straight in Patois like 1st P does when people treat her like a tourist!!
