With that said I noticed that the Hidden Paradise website asks for your credit card information before giving you the price. It looks kinda shady to me but maybe they give you the price on the next window.

Xtabi!!! I stayed there loved it and it was inexpensive!

How did you pay for it? I want to pay for everything I can here at home so I don't have to worry about it when I get there if you know what I mean.

Well they have a website from there I git the Phone number and then i called and booked over the phone using my credit card it was no trouble at all.They were very nice and they have free wireless internet there too! Well I dunno it it was supposed to be free but it was! lololol

Is Xtabi located on the beach? I read somewhere that some people have to pay for beach access. Not sure if that was for Negril or Montego Bay. Also do they have meal plans and how good is their location compared to the night clubs and restaurants? I didn't see it in the Negril community map.

Interestingly enough if it wasn't for me finding this forum I wouldn't even have known about Negril....haha. Can't wait to see it.


Edit: Nevermind, I found Xtabi on the southern portion of the map. North or south of downtown? I wonder which area is better.

I've been to Xtabi too -- and loved it! The rooms are across the street from the cliff area. No beach -- just cliffs.

I actually paid for a one night deposit via credit card -- and then paid the balance when I got there.

That map shows the beach and the cliffs - the area where Xtabi is is the cliffs, the other road is the beach -

Personally, I prefer being on the beach - others prefer the cliffs. The beach in Negril is public -

I would also check out Yellowbird - kinda basic, but clean - the staff there is great, and they have lovely hammocks under the cashew trees - great place to people watch and laze the day away.

I think I would prefer the beach as well. A better chance to touch and swim in the Caribbean.

Reggaediva you recommended Donaldson's Inn which is on the beach. That's starting to look like the best bet. I'll give them a call.

Yeah Xtabi is on the cliffs.....they do have a place to eat and the food is good...its kind of romantic at night eating on the cliffs by candle light, but since its not a romance trip...you may want to stay at the beach....am sure you will have fun anyway!
