Caribbean Islands
I don't believe we have a thread for this yet....amazing!!!
What other Caribbean Islands have you been to and what are the highlites of them???
It seems each island has their own cultures and maybe some of us are interested in expanding our horizons.
(GG Aruba has its own thread already so maybe you can just post a link in here )

Re: Caribbean Islands
I defenitely wanna do T & T
I have been to Curacao & St. Martin.. I have to go to Curacao a couple of times for work soon so I will take sum pics. JaMiss has been there too BTW.. My baby cousin just moved from St.Martin back to Curacao, St.Martin is nice Curacao.. I dunno I am not that impressed. I assume tourists might like it.. but we (Aruba) has better beaches and the people are wayyy more friendlier!!

Re: Caribbean Islands
Bahamas, Aruba, St. Lucia, Dominican Republic, Belize, Bermuda, Barbados, Tortola - have to think of where else, lol
I loved St. Lucia - very lush and beautiful, although I can see where it could get pricey - Belize is beautiful as well - However, I was staying with family / friends at all those spots and didn't really do the touristy thing -
Would like to go back to Aruba - I was young and didn't get to explore! DR I liked, but not my true style - you seem to be stuck on the resort, can't freely go explore.
Barbados is my second home after JA - Love the soca music, some of the friendliest people I have ever met, never felt unsafe or unwelcome anywhere, beautiful scenery, beautiful beaches - Great great shopping!
I want to go to St. Martin and TNT =-

While not on topic, my friends say Panama is the bomb for Carnival.

Re: Caribbean Islands
I can say that Crop Over Carnival in Barbados is a blast - I definitely want to hit TNT carnival one of these days.
St. Lucia is fun, too - the Jour Ouvert street jump was wild

Re: Caribbean Islands
I haven't been anywhere in the caribbean...
but I admit I am willing to go anywhere in the caribbean... jamaica would be my first choice...
I would go anywhere in the caribbean though because I want to go wreck diving so bad I can taste it...

Re: Caribbean Islands
Windy, you should look at Barbados, then - there are so so many wrecks off the coast that you can snorkel around - it's so cool.

Re: Caribbean Islands
I have been to Curacao, St Martin, St Croix, St Thomas, St John, Grand Cayman, and of course Jamaica.
Not really Caribbean, but have been to Bahamas.
Curacao was great for shopping. It is clean, the drivers are better than Jamaica. I thought they were very friendly. But their beaches are not very pretty. We are probably going back in November for another shopping trip.
I thought St Thomas was too snooty. St Martin was good for shopping too. I bought a watch there that is more a piece of jewelry. I get lots of compliments on it. In Miami it was $400 more.
Grand Cayman bored me to pieces. My daughter liked it because of the beautiful beaches.
