Sandcastles in Ocho

Anyone stayed here?

Also, has anyone ever used bookit.com?

Yes and I wasn't all that pleased. When it rained...it did in the room as well. Although every unit is different. These are individually owned units..some are better then others. I preferred staying at Fisherman's point. The same thing, individually owned, but nicer IMHO.

Re: Sandcastles in Ocho

$53 a night for a one bedroom with kitchen - Half of what the others are charging. Haven't decided what I am doing - was planning to stay in the yard, having second thoughts, lol - If I do a hotel I want a place with a kitchen, which is why I wasn't looking at rooms again -

I will check Skyauction, thanks.

Re: Sandcastles in Ocho

I used Sky aucrtion too...stayed at Rooms for like 37.00 a night it was worth it...but yopu cant wait til the last minute they have these rules about booking at least 7 days in advance of your trip.....I remember JA Sun stayed there I think she liked it but she got a good room....her friend had gone to check it out first and her room was nicer than the one they showed him...at least thats how i remember it

Re: Sandcastles in Ocho

Ok, not such a good deal - I just read the fine print and that was the PER PERSON rate - what a scam -

Re: Sandcastles in Ocho

JAsun did stay there, she had to switch rooms, if your not happy with the one you get make sure you make a fuss and get another one its hit and miss there.

Re: Sandcastles in Ocho

RD -- I stayed at a private cottage in Ochi back in July/August. You can check it out on Rentalo.com -- it's called the Cottage at Te Moana. It was $100 per night . . .

I have tons of pictures posted on TOES. Let me know via PM if you need a link to my thread.

Re: Sandcastles in Ocho

I saw your pics, Lilly - looks nice, but it looks like the rates went up - still undecided - Lots happening in Negril that week, I am tempted to say F it all and just go to Negril.

JASpice, what is Fisherman's point near?
