Where in Jamaica have you been?

For those who have ever visited jamaica...

We have read reports of your many visits to some of the more commonly visited places in Jamaica like Ocho Rios, Negril, Runaway Bay and Montego Bay...

But have you visited any of our historical landmarks, museums or monuments?

For instance, Folly Point in Pt. Antonio, Rodney's Memorial in Spanish Town, Naval Museum at Port Royal, Morant Bay, Arawak museum in St, Catherine, Green Grotto Caves, Fern Gully, Bamboo Avenue etc, etc.

Anyone ever been to the Blue Mountains...tasted the Blue mountain Coffee?

If so, Do tell us?

And I adore the Blue Mountains
Absolutely beautiful..would love to do some backpacking there sometime.

LOL.
If you ever go back to jamaica, go to a place called New Castle.

Its an old Army barracks dating back to the days of the English occupation in the early 1800's.
Its about 1200 ft above sea level nestled in the Hills of the Blue mountains and has a breathtaking view of Kingston.

It is now being used as a training facility for the local army but you can still visit.

Re: Where in Jamaica have you been?

Have been to Peter Tosh’s area. Forget the name of the town - Belmont?

Have been to Bluefields Beach. Lovely area - a bit rocky but very nice.

Personally, I can't say I have been to the town that Peter Tosh was born, but I lived only blocks away from where he lived for many years in Spanish Town.

Re: Where in Jamaica have you been?

Been around the island and into the mountains. Traveled extensively in 2004. Been to Bob Marley's Mausoleum and Peter Tosh's Mausoleum both twice. I love Treasure Beach, but still the the hills of Negril the best.
