What was your most magical moment EVER, in Jamaica?

I'd have to say for me, above all the hot men, scenery, food, etc....my most magical moment took place on my last trip in July/06. On the night we were supposed to hit Sumfest for the second time, our plans fell through and so I ended up wandering down to the beach around midnight. Just laid out on a beach chair. Up walks the security guard, who initially scared the CRAP outta me. But as he sat down beside me and we chatted away, it came up that he's also a singer in a reggae band. We spent next couple hours into the morning singing together, watching stars, watching planes flying over, listening to the waves, and me listening to him tell me about life in Jamaica. It was one of the most peaceful moments I've had in my life.

I've had many, many magical moments in JA . . . some with my best gurlbuddy, some with fione men . . . but the most magical was seeing this magnificent spot just beyond Rick's Cafe in Negril. When I got out of the car, tears streamed down my cheeks as I took in the beauty of the cove. Never in my life had I seen anything so beautiful, so peaceful, so magnificent. I will never forgot that feeling . . .

The most magical moments for me (i made them plural cause its a ritual) is when Rup and I climb the water tank at my in laws and sit on it drink rum and look at the stars. They are so bright in the hills, so peaceful and I feel so safe at that moment.

For me, I'd have to say it was Christmas Eve last year. Jomo (with a little help from his sister) cooked dinner while I took a nap. When he woke me, he blindfolded me and led me through the yard to the picnic table he had set up by the beach and covered with a cloth, candles and flowers. We had the most beautiful dinner.

I did cry when he did it. It was breathtakingly beautiful and just so darn special.

And me, I'll probably just cry sitting on a raft being guided by a stranger! LOL. I have so much pent up emotion lately I know I'm gonna have some moments on my trip.

Maybe it's just what you need......a really good cry. I broke down a few weeks ago in the poor me mode........it really did make me feel so much better to just let it all out and then move on.

yeah...that was the night i was like hmmm....i want to know get this guy a little better.

I didn't want anything except to enjoy my night and was happy that I found someone to share it with. I was actually supposed to go back the next night as he was going to give me one of his CD's. But when I went down there it was a different guy who told me Jeremy ended up not working that night.
