Re: Favorite Restaurant
Can you imagine thinking this stuff is complimentary anywhere but JA?

Re: Favorite Restaurant
Wonder what other countries have the same benefits? Anyone experience this complimentary attitude elsewhere?

I stay right down the road when I go to JA. Sebil is my pseudo-mother-in-law.

Re: Favorite Restaurant
Steamfish is the best. Where i live its hard to buy good whole snapper to steam, so its always a treat i look forward to there.
I also like this little pizza shop we frequented on the strip in Mobay. I guess partly because it was so great to find food that my son would actually eat! But also it was always hopping with local people and had a nice 'little pizza shop in any small town" vibe. But in Mobay, my all time fav is the Jerk Chicken vendor who came out late at nite down down by Margaritaville. There is a term for the traveling barbecue they sell Jerk from, what is it? I love roadside food too. People selling Conch soup and escovitch or Pepper Shrimp. Gourmet Magazine did an issue about the best roadside/vendor food in countries around the world and Jamaica was featured. |
