I agree it is an addiction. And like Jomo's girl put it "no need to go anywhere else internationally". I notice the change in the air the moment we land. I almost did not come back from my last trip 3 weeks ago. When I got back I was on my train to work (you know the commute thing) and I was in the mist of so much traffic, I got sick! I'd prefer easy living like the islands. I will be there 2 times next year and once to Trinidad for carnivale.
The food is another addiction because no matter how you try to make it here yourself, it doesn't taste the same.
People think I'm obsessed, well maybe they are right because when I'm passionate about something I can go overboard. So I feel you with this post but the only cure is being there.

Yes my first time. I''ve done Florida and DC with my Trini friends but haven't made it to TR yet. I can't wait.

Be prepared to party liek you have never partied before. And while your partying the most important thing to remember is comfort. whatever you do make sure you have comfy shoes. And just enjoy yourself!!!!!!

If a Jamaican makes Jamaican food in the US, it DOES taste the same.
Funny you mentioned traffic. I've had that same feeling. My roads seem to bother me so much more after a trip.
