The taxes and fees must of been $40-$70! It seems like airfare is cheap but the fees generally equal or exceed the price.

No worries, my daughters (2&7) have been traveling since they were babies and we generally fly 3-9 times a year. Once you let them play with the "stickies" (maxi-pads) in the bathroom they look at it like a moving playroom. For some reason my wife gets bent when the kids mention the stickies in the bathroom.

Re: Airline/Airport Comments?

Austin - Bergstrom International Airport is a great airport. My three favorite airlines fly there American, Continental and Southwest. All Texas based airlines which are the best in the country which kinda makes me proud.

Home bases:

American Airlines (DFW - Dallas Fort Worth International)
Continental (IAH - Houston Bush Intercontinental)
Southwest (DAL - Dallas Love Field)

All lovely airports as well. DFW has a cool skytrain where you can see all the airport activity, IAH has come cool restaurants and a terminal train and DAL is a small airport with easy access to the city.

Re: Airline/Airport Comments?

Here's a tip if you're ever flying through or to Pearson airport in Toronto.

The Tim Horton's there doesn't accept debit. Only cash or credit.

AND Westjet is the BOMB!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Airline/Airport Comments?

I'm forecasting that I'm already gonna miss the seatback display of my flight as it happens, in April when I fly Air Canada.

In December I flew WestJet which was so cool cuz they have TV screens in every seatback and if you choose not to watch TV, you get to watch your plane flying! It shows exactly where you're flying over as its happening. I doubt Air Canada's gonna have it.

Re: Airline/Airport Comments?

Jam,
I have to agree with you on this, this is complete madness if you ask me!
What next, a extra charge just to walk on the plane and take you seat!
Give me a break already ...

Re: Airline/Airport Comments?

Ah, the pleasures of European air travel. Makes island hopping seem like a dream. We have a strict 'no liquids' policy still in place. Security is a nightmare. Although, living in Belfast, most people are used to that type of thing.
