Lets see where do I begin - Rupert flew charter (again, and never again!), Sky service. He called me from airport last night at 5pm our time, said no one there at the desk, and cannot find anyone from the airline. So I asked him if he called to confim his flight before he left his parents house(almost 4 hours away), he said he called the number for Ochi and MoBay no answer at either one. I called the airline from here, they said it was delayed till 2:35am, and that he should have checked before he left. I tried to explain to her that he called both numbers listed and no one answered and he called more than once.
I asked her if they would be provided meal vouchers or hotel she said no, nothing.
I am going to write to complain, becasue obviously people who go through a tour and stay at a hotyel also will know this thru their rep, but those of us who do not do that, if the numbers provided do not work how is one supposed to know until we reach the airport???

Needless to say - NEVER AGAIN!

Pretty much the story of JA for me. Whenever anything has a number listed, I have more issues getting through to anyone.

Damswell, you'll probably at the very least get a voucher for travel the next time. When I wrote a letter to America West they sent me a voucher and my problems weren't even severe.

Ok Air jamaica is already pissing me off...and my trip is not until November....I just got an email saying that they changed thier schedule around and my new flights are at totall different times....arg! I was sheduled to leave JA at 6 in the evening now the new flight leaves at 8:50 in the morening...last trip my flight was at 7:25 in the morning and it was horrendous tryna get there on time....don't want to do that again..so I called and they said oh well thats the only flight in that day..unless you want to fly to a different destiantion...like where else am i gonna go....i need to go home....so she said well we can put you on a flight the next day at 6:15 at night...but I have to be back for work on monday so i can't just change and add an extra day to my trip......I don't know what i should do now.......

Keep it like it is and just leave a very early.

What was the problem last time? Traffic?

Well, I sent off the letter to Skyservice re: Ruperts flight - we will wait and see what happens.

Hotteach, you will have to leave extra early or stay in Mobay the night before. I would stay in Mobay cause you would have to leave by 4 in the AM to get to airport from Ochi.

Maybe you should just wait.....if they are changing things now, what will they do up until November?

Yea I would just keep it as it is. I for one dont believe they have only one flight that day!!!!!!!!! So maybe as time goes on they will add more.

trying to remember some of them...... mostly I went US airways. never had much problems but always a lay over, having to switch plans. that sucks when it's only a 4 hour flight.. spend too much time traveling. I usually leave from Chicago O'hare. once left from Milwaukee and loved that!! smaller amd friendlier. O'Hare is big and I have meet some unfriendly workers. once a lady was yelling at me cuz I went in the wrong line!! international over domestic "you should always think your final destination!! now your holding all these people up by 20 minutes so I can re-shed. you!" she repeated it like three times! she almost had me in tears!!! I was apologizing to all the people in line! then it was my carry on, too bulky. the following year when I was dropped off at O 'Hare I was scared I was in the wrong part. I went in and talked to a guy and told him my story of last time, the mean blonde lady! he knew who I was talking about and was shaking his head!!! I wasn't thinking at the time I should of takin her name and made a complaint. traveling makes me a bundle of nerves until I get there as it is!!! I'm not in Ja until I step foot on the ground, outside the airport. took US airways my new years trip 04'-05' and saw on the TV that they were going to file bankrupt so I was thinking of trying another air-lines. we had our lay-over and had to get our luggage and re-check it in. we waited over an hour for them to get our stuff. some, most people missed there connecting flights. I made mine by 10 minutes. I always go right back to work the next day too coming from Ja! then once in Chicago they redircected my luggage to Norht Carolina. I didn't really care but there were alot of other madd people. I really didn't have to have anything from it. I also had alot less to carry home. they did deliver it the following day. decided to try another airlines after that one!

done Delta too! well, was suppose to be AirJa afew times but changed to Delta. I guess I don't have any complaints there. can't remember any. just the lay over thing. been to Atlanta, North Carolina, somewhere in Ohio, Pennsil. somehwere? and the last place, Ft. Lauderdale. was very excited to get my AirJa ticket. heard badd things but was takin by the "NON STOP FLIGHT!" thought that sounded ssoo wonderful!!! should of known better. changed my flight the last minute of course to have a 5 hour lay over in Ft. Laud.!!! the very worst/longest layover ever!!! WAS NOT Happy!! got an extra search too!!! funny, all of us going to Ja that were suppose to be on the non-stop AirJA flight! I asked the lady, " are we being searched because of our final destination??" she just kinda snickered and said no that it is generated on our ticket and showed me where it had repeating S S S S S . s for search I guess! this lay over made me arrive over 6 hours later! missed my day I should of had! this was my first AirJA flight that I only had from Ft. LAud. for the way home, I had my daughter call the 800 number from here and she said everything was OK. go to the airport and was told 4 hour delay!!! this was my first actual Non-stop flight with AirJa! plane was leaving when I was suppose to be arriving home. remember I said I always go right to work after arriving home??? got to bed after 2am, went to work all the same! my next trip is also with AirJA....... this next time if things are SSSOOO badd, I will follow through with my complaints! hate to have all those badd feeling when I should be enjoying my time, every second, in Ja. man, don't want high blood presure! regaurdless..... I still got to go to my beautiful Jamaica yet once again and am happy for that. have to deal with the airlines/ rules. only other choice is not to go!! that's just unacceptable!
