i started going out with a jamaican guy who was serving in the british army. he told me all about the culture, the food, the music and got me interested. when he asked if i would spend christmas there with him i jumped at the chance. however we split before xmas ( he had a secret fiancee in london who he was planning to marry within months lol) so i went on my own. just booked a flight, picked a hotel from 'Rough Guide to Jamaica' rang them and booked a room. then i fell in love with jamaica driving from the airport to negril. and that was the beginning of my love affair with Ja.

i was planning my b-day trip with my friends. i was all set to go to puerto rico, but my brother and cousin had just returned from jamaica and they kept going on and on about how much fun they had. so my friends and i changed our plans and ended up in jamaica. after the first time, i never wanted to leave. i seriously cried on the beach the day we had to leave. but i've been going back ever since and will continue to forever especially since my new family is in negril.

I first went in 1994 I was 7 years old and my mum took me and my sister (6 yrs) on our first trip abroad. She got in contact with family and that was who we were going to stay with. We went for a month (thats really long when ur little) we went on day trips out, beach, church even to school for a little it. Spent our time in Hanover and a little bit in Kingston.

4 yrs later a little after my 11th birthday we went to live. My sister and I finished up Primary and went to High School out there which was GREAT!!! At 16 I was told we had to return to England. It was devastating. I never got over it...

Well it took apprx 4 more yrs before we'd see the Island again...thanks to my lovely sister who leant me the money to go with her for Christmas...I wasn't working so didnt have much money. I split up with the boyfriend I'd had all that time...Him fine nex gyal Ugly m*therfu**er. Still in 2007 returned for 4mnths from June to Sept. Met back my baby (who I used to go to school with) we are together now and will be married as soon as we get enough money.

i will always love Jamaica, but i must say that once jave gets here, i don't think i'll be back for awhile. kinda starting to feel like i'm missing out on other travel opportunities.
