Okay here goes. You know I always start with some pre-trip fun stuff. So on Apr.11, Easter Saturday, there's a cultural event here in CAlgary called "Taste of Jamaica". We go every year and I always win some kind of prize there. This year I played Jamaican Jeopardy and won the motherload of Appleton prizes LOLOL. Because I knew the most about Jamaica I won this wicked gift basket!! What a great way to kick off my trip....I was leaving at midnight this same night.

So we did the event, I went home and had dinner with my kids and finished my last minute packing. My mom drove us to the airport around 10:30 and we were ready to go.....but not without a festive drink first LOL. I brought the tiny rum bottle from my prize basket and we bought some Pepsi at the Tim Hortons in the airport.

Not much to report from the Calgary - Toronto - Montego Bay flights so I'll skip straight to Mobay. Because I have my blog now and I have to cover stuff people wanna know, I took this pic walking from the plane to Immigration in Mobay. I really like the new look of the airport on my last couple trips.



And NOW for the fun stuff!! YAAAAY I was freaking out that Lilly was picking us up at the airport. This will be my 2nd time seeing her in less than a year and Ash's first time meeting her. She wasn't supposed to come to the airport til we called her but she had other ideas LOL. I was standing in a line at the bar to buy some Digicel credit when I turned around and noticed some hot Jamaican LOL.....with a white lady standing in front of him. It took about 10 seconds to register WHO I was actually looking at It was Lilly and Corey and they were already there waiting on us!!!

It was sooooooooo awesome seeing Lilly again and meeting Corey finally. The plan was for them to drive us to our guest house, we would get checked in and then head over to Rooms on the Beach where Lilly stayed and just hang. Corey had to work that night.

We were staying at Samanda villa in Ochi, JellyBean recommended it to me and I absolutely LOOOOOVED the place. Not one single complaint at all. I was booked into a room with a kitchen but the first night they had to put me in a different one, then i could switch the next morning.

Samanda is on Milford road, up a ways in Ochi on the way to Shaw Park. I paid $24,000 for 2 weeks.

Alright so we got settled in and decided to head to Rooms to visit Lilly for the evening. Ash only stayed for a minute but was really tired and wanted to go home to bed. And of course I fought tired with all my being so I could just be with Lilly. I picked up a giant bottle of rum on my way to Rooms and started drinking LOL. Here are some shots I took while Lilly and talked....and yes cried a little. LMAO I dunno what it is about us and crying on patio's.

Andre is a security dude that works at Rooms....I met him 2.5 yrs ago when I stayed there. Not much to tell, I just think he's hot.

I cried when I left you and Ash -- in the car on the way back to Rooms with Corey. He asked if I was okay and I couldn't answer . . . could only nod my head, wipe my tears and stare out the window. That was the beginning of a cry-fest for me that lasted that entire night and the whole next day.
