Monday, my first whole day there I'd made arrangements to meet up with a long time ago friend Lexi, whom I went to college with. We haven't really spoken in 10 years but found each other on Facebook a while back. She works on a cruise ship now and would be in Ochi for a day. We decided to meet up at Passage to India for some Indian food. I'd never had it before but OMG it was to die for!!!! Talk about spicy and FLAVA!! Here's us and our food LOL.
I highly recommend this restaurant!!! And I got the cruise ship staff discount LOL.
After eating Lexi had a couple hours to kill before her ship left. We walked over to Margaritaville to hang and have a couple drinks.

This dude was walking around with bottles of liquor and just pouring it into people's mouths. There were a LOT of drunk tourists around here LOL. They were acting so stupid.

LOL and this was TOTALLY RANDOM but as we sat eating lunch we were overcome by the sound of a marching band coming up the street LOLOL. It reminded me of the marching band outside my house that I posted about once. I have NO clue why this band was in the street in Ochi and there was no parade following it but I had to watch from the restaurant for a while. Maybe cuz it was Easter Monday??? I dunno.
Monday night we'd made prior plans to go to the Kite Festival in St Ann's Bay. There was a stage show going on that I was dying to see. Mine and Teach's friend Prince (seen in previous reports) called and told me one of his driver's could take us there. Here's me with Prince again...he's so adorable and really great guy!
He ended up taking us up to St Ann's Bay and showed me his house that he's been building. Then he took us to a local spot in his hood...a go go bar LOL. A lot of daggerin going on there We all had a drink and then headed out to the show.
We arrive JUST in time for a GREAT show by Elephant Man and a crappy show from Beenie Man LOL. Not a big fan of Beenie. I do have lots of video from the show but uploading takes eons. I'll get to it sometime.
OH and for all you airplane-addicts like me......I FINALLY made a video of LANDING in Mobay....instead of my usual depressing leaving videos. I quite liked filming the landing and we had the rowdiest bunch of Jamaican applaud on our landing this time.

This is the 2nd room I switched into on my 2nd day, and stayed there the full 2 weeks. I loved it!!! Full kitchen, bathroom, walk-in closet. All for roughly $30 CAD a night.
AND there is a recording studio RIGHT outside my bathroom window here so I got to listen to lots of sessions. Loved it!!
Jammie this report is makin me so psyched for my trip....I love prince he is soooo sweet.....I can't wait to see his house...he has been emailing me pics of it. and the landing video made my heart hurt....cause I want to be there sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!
and by the way that yellow car is a trip isn't it...the last time i was in it the seats werent even bolted too the floor...I hope he has fixed that by now...lolol
Okay on to Tuesday. I honestly can't even tell you what I did Tuesday in the daytime. I have no clue and can't remember LOL. I brought my journal but never pulled it out once
But we were gearing up all that day for KARAOKE Tuesday night!!! It was a painful experience....not because of the singing this time, but because of liquor consumption. Ash's friends from Canada were also in JA at this time and we wanted to take them to Oceans 11. They were AWESOME FUN!!!! But we all just sat around drinking, not singing LOL. It was a great time and by looking at the last picture you can see why.
I think we're really drunk here.
Here's why!!
There was actually one point in the evening where I really wanted to escape from that place and find some bushes to hide in while I felt ill. But somehow I managed to stick it out and then felt totally fine.
This guy (pic won't rotate) was standing by our table all night dancing. At one point I told him if he went to Amnesia after, I would clash him on the dance floor LMAOOOOOOOO!!! He laughed at me and said OKAY!! I didn't know at this point that he was the person who would take me to Spanish Town 10 days later and change my life.
