I was so focused on trying to make a love connection with that Jamaican girl, I didn't even see you all drive up. I didn't even know you were there till smaddy yelled "WAHOO!"

The rest of the night I just had dinner and freaked out about Delroy. I was so excited to see him the next day. I sent the boys packin that day so we could have unobstructed time with Delroy.

We met at Turtle Park in the center of town at noon, me, Ash, her man and Delroy. We sat under the shelter of a huge tree while it rainnnnnnnnned like crazy, and talked for like an hour! Once the tree wasn't providing dryness anymore we all ran to KFC to sit under the patio rooftop and stay dry. We all ate.....except Delroy. He was saving his food til later cuz he's not comfortable eating in public

While sitting there he told us a lot more about himself that we never knew. And told us about his mother who lives in NYC. She sends him money sometimes but she also doesn't have much since she's a domestic helper. So we came up with the bright idea of letting him call his mama

We sat and listened as he talked to her and told her all about us and then he let us talk to her as well. She seemed so pleased that Delroy wasn't alone and someone was trying to help him. It was very special.

After KFC and the phone call we took him to the barber. He didn't get much cut though cuz he thought me might like to lock his hair soon....so he just trimmed the edges and got a shave.

Okay....on with the show.

Our day with Delroy came and went and we decided we'd get together on another day to do some video footage of him for my blog to help his cause. He was supposed to come up to our place one evening but something (don't know what) went down in his life that and he never made it. We did see him again at the end of the trip but Ash has the pics of that....gotta get them off her.

We gave him a phone so we now have a way to reach him anytime. We've talked to him several times since we've been back and I'll be sending him a portion of his money this weekend because he's found himself a place to live....we've enabled him to afford it.

I'm happy.

The report is gonna get a little scattered now cuz the days mash together in the last week LOL. I don't know what night this was but one night we went to Glistening Waters....anyone heard of it or been there?

Its in Falmouth and you go at night. Its a place where there is phosphorous in the water and when its disturbed it lights up bright green! I've heard of it many times but never went. It was an amazing sight to see....you get probably a 45 minute boat tour in the dark and the driver tells you all the scientific info you wanna know about it. Then he sings Bob Marley songs LOLOL

A couple people on the boat actually jumped in for a swim and it was so neat cuz the water around you just lights up when you move. VERY cool....I'd recommend this tour. It was $20 USD and included free rum punch at the bar.

PS: It was impossible to catch any of it on camera. It just doesn't work. I tried photos and video....does't work.

One afternoon I had nothing to do and the rasta David who stayed around our apartment took me up Milford road to a little bar, introduced me to his friend that ran it......Rita. She is an awesome girl! She's really funny and a wicked singer! Here's me playing pool with a guy up there....I kicked his butt





Me and Rita.....miss her, as I came up here a couple times this week.

Kind of a pointless picture but this is the view out my shower window in the bathroom. The roof directly on the other side is the recording studio where I could hear music sessions going on almost 24/7. I was supposed to go on a tour in there with David but it never happened....my fault. But I did hear some amazing talent right outside my back door.

Okay.........somehow I've made it to Thursday this week. Which makes me sad cuz I'm almost done my report.

Thursday is the day I headed to Spanish Town with Zed and X. Ash was gone to Port Antonio so I was alone with them. I was a little nervous but excited to see where they were from. NOTHING could have prepared me for where I was about to stay though. The most humbling experience of my life. In hindsight I'm surprised they wanted to show me where they were from now that I've seen it.

Here are a few pics on the drive from Ochi to Spanish Town....we went in the evening. I'm a little upset it was so late cuz this drive is BEAUTIFUL but I couldn't get great pics because it was dusk that and the fact that Leon drives about 829 mph LOL.

Yep is sure is a cigarette. I tried with all my being but something in Jamaica (maybe rum ) makes me smoke. So its like a never ending cycle....every time I come back I have to quit again.
