The "I can't believe its a trip report" trip report - Jamaica Talk

Alright everyone....here it is. I've been recovering from a LOT of stuff for a LOT of days and I'm ready to go with this thing.

There are 3 reasons there almost wasn't a trip report. 2 of those were because I was stalked and practically murdered twice, and the other reason was because my camera was teefed on the 2nd last day. Now tell me.....who loses a digital camera in Jamaica and ACTUALLY GETS IT BACK 24 hours later?? Thank you St. Anthony.

Mek we start at the beginning.

Me & Ash were flying out at midnight on Greycup day (our equivilent of Super Bowl) so we partied at my uncles Greycup party all night before the airport. Then my mom dropped us off, half snapped, at the airport to wait for our plane. These few pics are what tipsy Jammie and Ash get into in airports.

We board our plane on time and gear up for the red-eye flight to Toronto. Leave here at midnight, arrive in Toronto at 6AM. Then we have 4 hours to kill in Toronto til we board our next flight for Mobay. I know for a fact I have a pic of me looking mean as hell at Toronto airport cuz I'm so tired. But I can't find it in the mess of 600 pics we have.

Anyways we get on the plane and we have this cute likkle 19 yr old Jamaica kid next to us. We found out he hasn't been back to JA in a couple years since he went to Toronto to live with his daddy. And he was flying back to surprise his mother in Clarendon. We let him use an MP3 player to kill his time and he sang like this the whole way LOLOL.

Westjet is the COOLEST EVER. They have TV monitors in the back of every seat that displays a map of where you're flying. You can see everywhere you pass over in REAL TIME. I loved it.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY we touched down in Mobay with no incidents and the usual plane-load of Jamaicans applauding the landing LOL. So we call our ride and mek him know we're there and he comes to pick us up and head to Ochi.

BUT our first stop is LeesaJ!!! She told me before we left that she extended her stay in Runaway Bay by one day so we could come see her. I text her and tell her we're on our way!!

This is us at Breezes Runaway Bay where she was staying. Thanks for the drink Leesa!!!! It was AWESOME to meet you.

We left Leesa to get to Ochi and check into our guest house. We stayed at the same place as last time.....Little Shaw Park guest house. I love it there. Its cheap and comfy....only 1 or 2 ****roaches

COOL! That dude singing on the plane is hilarious... all you can hear is the occasional tone deaf squeak! LOL. And since when does Take My Breath Away have that kind of BEAT??????

And our 3 best friends at Little Shaw Park.....the doggies that live there. Every time we come and go from this place they remember us and pretty much lay at our doorsteps the whole time. I loooooooooooove them. And they scare all our Jamaican friends away.

That concludes my first day. I was in bed by 8pm that night since our red-eye took everything outta me. I read a little bit and listened to reggae music til I dropped asleep. I wanted to get a good start in the morning....my first REAL day.

Those puppies lit up my life while we were there. Spoiled dogs too....the owners of the guest house give them cooked food every day. We always gave them our leftover rice.

Okay next morning I woke up at a decent hour after sleeping for about 12 hours LOL. My phone rang quite early and guess who it was?? SAMBA!!!!!!!!!!! He was actually calling to tell me that he was at a meeting in Runaway Bay and would be able to hit Ochi for lunch that day. I was so happy! So we picked the place and the time to meet. We decided on a restaurant in downtown Ochi called Mama Marley's. It was really nice and had some good food.

Here's me and Samba - DISCLAIMER - Samba doesn't want his picture posted as usual. So that was my open ticket to deface him in any way I see fit.

OH and for those of you who remember the FIRST time I met Samba....and I made fun of him cuz his hug was like a wet noodle. Well this time he brought me some birthday presents.....a card, a box of chocolates and WET NOODLES!

Lunch was really nice Samba. Thanks again. I'm really glad I got to see you AGAIN!!!

And for those of you who don't know and will find out later in the report, I got the flu about 4 days after this. Well wouldn't you know that the next time I talked to Samba he told me he came down with the flu too....so did Ashley. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....who gave it to who?

And I don't even recall touching tongues with him

After lunch, me and Ash needed to hit the supermarket to stock the kitchen in the guest house. Her Jamaican friend was with us and would be cooking for us the whole trip. Our first meal choice for dinner was of course....curry chicken. We picked up all the fixins and went back up to the guest house. We killed a lot of time just drinking rum and listening to music. This afternoon it rained a LOT while we were just hangin out.
