Wahoo's heard about those stuck-up canadian gyals! Tried his best seduxtion lines on this one. She ignored him completely...

Wahoo departs Vancouver...returns to northern Virginia where he can at least be ignored completely (as usual) by stuck-up american gyals.

Would love to link up, Jamaica Miss, but I'm only going to be in Vancouver 3 nights. I'm flying out a day ahead of my supervisor 'cause I'm attending an all-day short course the next day, so I'll be on my own (and "unsupervised," as it were) my first night in town, but my boss will be there keeping tabs on me like a domineering wife the next two days and nights. At least I'll have one night to get my freak on.

Just made my travel arrangements. Looks like I'll be flying from DC to Vancouver with a transfer in Chicago. But my return flight will be a red-eye flight (ughh) with a transfer in Toronto. Neat...I'll get to see two great Canadian cities on this trip!

Canada's groovy, but I really wish this business trip was to Phuket, Thailand...even though I'm afraid to ask how you pronounce Phuket.

OH WONDERFUL! My supervisor informed me today that she's decided to take one of the pre-conference short courses, too, and will be flying out the same day I do. In fact, we'll probably be on the same flight. ****E! Now I'll be under her microscope the entire trip! Why is God punishing me?

A postscript. My supervisor & I attended different sessions (we had planned it that way so that our sessions wouldn't overlap & we could give postconference in-services to our colleagues back home about the various sessions we attended), so we only occasionally saw each other & compared notes during the 4 days we were there. All that worry for nothing. On our last nite in Vancouver, we did take a stroll around town and had a nice dinner together at a restaurant several blocks from our hotel recommended by our concierge. All in all an enjoyable and memorable trip. Vancouver's a terrific city to visit. Hope I'll get to do it again sometime.

It would be sooo cool if they held that conference in Jamaica, but sooo embarassing if my supervisor & I were strolling on the beach and I were accosted by a familiar someone saying, "You nuh dead yet, mon? How 'bout someting for yur chalice...jus like last time?"
