So, we woke up early Sat am - after having gone to bed so early, we were both up with the sun - Plus I am not used to roosters crowing, lol!
We decided to head down to a private beach - D's cousin came to meet us, and dropped us off at the beach - D gave him money to take the car and go get it serviced, since we were heading to Rebel Salute that night. We lazed around on the beach and swam - for most of the morning, we had the beach to ourselves, until people came to board the Catamaran cruise. We decided we were hungry, so D called his cousin to come get us - or tried to and tried to and tried to! He realized that he had turned his phone to silent, and forgotten to turn it back on before giving it to his cousin!
Finally, his cousin looked at the phone, saw the missed calls, and called us back - he had taken the $ from D and gone and bought food to cook - hadn't gotten the car serviced

(this was one of many acts by the cousin that didn't impress me at all). At least when he came back, he brought us dumplings, mackeral, and banana that he had cooked. D dropped me off at the hotel, and went home to dress so that we could head to Rebel Salute - His cousin again went off to get the car serviced. On this attempt, he managed to get the car serviced, and also a flat tire!!! So, after getting all dressed to go, D ended up changing the tire and getting dirty all over again - Finally, we got on the road about 3 hours later than we had intended.
The drive to St. Elizabeth was LONG and windy - we drove through Brownstown - if I were to go back for Rebel Salute again, I would stay in Negril or Little Ochi - it was way too long of a ride, especially on the way home. We finally reached Rebel Salute!! Unfortunately, our delayed start made us miss Gentleman, one of the main acts that I wanted to see. We were starving, so we grabbed some steam fish and festival - The show itself was incredible, and I actually ran into 3 people that I know from home! They were a little shocked to see us there. The one downfall of the show was how cold it got at night in the hills - we were not dressed for the weather, and all huddled together because we were FREEZING!!!
Finally, the sun started to come up from behind the stage - it was such a beautiful sight - and the man we had been waiting to see reached the stage - Jah Cure! He was incredible, and was a great ending to the show for us - We left after he performed, even though Luciano was still to come, because we were all so so tired, and I have seen Luciano many times.
It was a long drive back - I don't know how D did it - The rest of us slept most of the way - We made a stop to visit his friend, and his second mother - who asked D if I was to be his wife - Kinda an UMMMMMMMMMM moment for both of us! Standing in front of a church lady, we were both a little tongue tied!
We finally reached back Sunday at around 4 pm - The rest of the night was spent sleeping - My friend went out to Priory Beach, but we were too tired. Monday was another day spent relaxing on the beach and swimming.
Monday night, my friend, D, and his friend and I went to Margaritaville. When we walked in, they were playing good music - which soon switched to crap! After a while, they went back to the reggae, then played a great soca set, so we were happy.
Tues am we slept late, and woke up with barely enough time to get back to the hotel, pack, and have the driver pick us up!
The trip was way too short, full of promise, and leaving me in a place that I am not sure of at the moment..........
