October 06 Jamaica trip - Jamaica Talk

HotTeach inspired me to start my trip report from my Oct. trip to Jamaica. I was there for a week, but it was more of a low key week not much happening, So I will try to share as much as I can remember or anything that was interesting. I have lots of pics, since Ed (a friend) took my camera for most of the time I was there.

I arrived in Jamaica 10/18 at about 4pm. And luckily the immigration lines were not to bad. Waiting for my bag, I started getting worried it wouldnt be on the belt, but after what felt like forever, it rounded the bend.

It felt so good being back in Jamaica, the minute I walked out the airport doors, its changes how you feel. My ride came, and we spent the entire ride (i think like 2.5 hrs) chatting. Ed, Ryan's best friend picked me up. I had meet him once on my last trip, so we took this time to get to know each other better. We were on our way to Ryan's b-day party.

When we got to Ryan's he was down the street getting things ready for his party, so he did not see me arrive. Since it was dark out, his grandma did not know who was at the house, when she saw me she dropped what she was holding in shock. She was so happy I was there to surprise Ryan. She wanted to walk me down to the party to surprise him. I think he was in shock when he saw me... I gave him a hug and kissed him and said surprise happy bday.

The party was nice, there was food, drinks, and stereo system. One of Ryan's friends offered me a shor of some alcohol that I guess is really strong. I had two shots and was feeling really hot and happy after that. When Ryan found out this guy gave me the shots, he told me later he wanted to punch him out for that. That the proof on that alcohol was really high and not something I was used to.
The party was nice, there was food, drinks, and stereo system. Unfortunately it rained around 12am before the party really started to get going. I could tell Ryan was dissapointed about that. was not something I am used to and could cause harm. Oh well, all I knew is that I was feeling good pretty fast. One of days Ryan had to work, I was lucky enough to have Ed to hang out with. We went to his ex's house to hang out and visit. I have lots of pics of the kids I adopted after that experience.

I know it sucks, but I didnt notice till after I downloaded them. I think if I take the date completely off my camera and download again, I can remove the date. But camera is packed away for moving already.....
