JG & Swell.........Okay, just made it back to my desk to read what you 2 posted and EEEEWWWWW - okay - the "OFF' wristbands are coming with me and ticks???? WTF - Roaches I can take - saw them big as mice in Cancun but the whole tick thing - maybe we won't be staying at the BF's family house. I might be better off in the hotel !!! OMG, I'm not the girlie type but geeeeeezzzzz. I don't like things that can bury themselves in your skin and suck out the blood !!!

Well, since we're talking about mosquitos and such...really, how do you get them to stop biting so much??? I mean what do I have to do? I've been to JA I know 6 times within the past year so they SHOULD know me by now?? I still end up with these huge bites that look like I have some sort of odd disease, and some of them have even left scars--seriously what kind of bug spray are you guys using? What else can I do besides lay in the bed covered from head to toe each night (and you know that ain't happening! )

A fan helps blow them away.
Off Mosquito coils burning in the room.
Deep woods off spray is what I use.
Covered nearly head to toe in a light sheet.
No perfumes or perfumed soaps or lotions of any kind.

We used all of the above and fared very well.

I guess it all depends where you are also, because I found at Ruperts parents they were worse than when we lived in our own house in Claremot. We didn't have that many trees in our yard and standing water for them to breed in.

We lived in the hills so no water except water tank! It does help thats for sure!

Don't know how you are going to take the Off if the airlines still restrict sprays. Better get lots and lots of mosquito coils.

Can't it go in your check baggage though? Make sure you wrap it in lots of plastic and duct tape it so it doesnt leak all over your clothes!

Oh, yah....I forgot about that. I never check any so I never really think "checked" baggage. There you go, then. Pack a whole lot of deep woods off. Also, on a long night, we would burn 2 of those coils per night.
