Well where should I begin. I guess I should say that my trips to JA are not vacations and I need one now!!!!!!!! Lol
Well as soon as I hit JA soil I should have know this was a trip of many things to come. So I rented a car for this trip through Dollar. Since they were not at the airport I needed to have a shuttle take me to the location. So I waited an hour yes a whole hour to get a shuttle to take me about 5 minutes. And when I became frustrated it was like I was wrong!!! Lol, you just got to love it! This allowed the opportunity to get hit on as usual in JA. But this one was cool. He said I would not need to rent a car as I could borrow his and go wherever I needed to!!!!!! I was like wow you just met me!! Guess he figures we are on a island where would I go?? Finally get my rental and I have to admit I am nervous. Wheel on the right driving on the left, luckily my first stop is not far. Driving in JA is not bad at all. It takes some aggressiveness and also knowing when to be easy but I did it!!! Well during the day that is. Never tried at night, but then I only had the car for a two days, but Ill get to that. Told my honey I would pick him up from work so I made my way down to Rose Hall. Come to find out he left early and neglected to tell me. I tell you Jamaicans can be too easy going at times. So I make my way down to Trelawny. Okay what is the deal with giving directions in Jamaica??? I ask him okay where am I going. He says just come man. Okay that’s nice but HELLO I’m in Jamaica what does that mean???? So, he thought I was crazy for calling every five minutes to find out where I was. Finally arrived at his house where we hung out for a while then headed back to Mo Bay. Nothing eventful for the rest of the night just hung out by the pool and relaxed.

Okay bright and early get up to take honey to work. On the road driving feeling good as I drove to Trelawny and back yesterday so I got this! Car in front of my going a little too slow so Michelle decides to as they say in JA overtake. I do that no problem road clear everything clear. Next thing I know I see a cop waving her arms from the side of the road and honey is like Michelle pull over the cops are stopping you!!! Im like what???? First of all that is how they are stopping me? And second of all for what?? Hes like you were speeding!!!!! Oh okay speeding in Jamaica yea right. So I pull over and put on my big smile while the cop takes his sweet time to walk over to the car. Let me see you papers. I take out all the papers the rental place gave me and my GA license. Look sit over and says you were overtaking over a solid line. “oh I was, wow sorry!” “Where you going?” “Where are you staying?” the usual questions. Answered them with my bright smile as he told me don’t do that again and sent me on my way. Pheww!! Lol Wasn’t bad but I am sure that’s because I was a tourist as I heard of police horror stories.
Dropped honey off and was on my way. Just did some shopping for the stay and settled in at the villa.. Told you guys my trips are more like everyday life. Lol And as you see no pics yet!!!

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

Ok so I figure I should jump to some juicy stuff.
Well it was around 5 am Friday morning there is a knock on the door. My honey gets up to check whats going on. Well it appears to be the villa owner, and someone has been messing with the rental car. Great. So I get up and go outside to take a look. Walk around looks like the car is still there minus the small window in the back. Great. The villa owner calls the police so we can report it. Okay let me remind you that this is Jamaica and soon come means I’ll get there when I get there. So maybe 20 minutes later the police come and I go outside to talk with them. By the time they get there the sun is starting to rise and things are a lot clearer. Not only did they bust out the small back window but they were in the car and tore out the entire ignition trying to steal the car! Great. So I give the report to the police. They say okay don’t touch anything we have to have crime scene come and look at the car. Okay no problem. Of course crime scene is on the way. Went back inside and started to drift back to sleep because of course crime scene has gotten there yet. The Sgt calls me to say that crime scene will be there in the morning (guess 7am is not morning) since its wet outside from the dew. Great.
Now the villa owner is there and she is sick as well. Seems like she took a wash out and took too much so it felt like she was giving birth to her stomach. As a result a lot of people were in an out of the villa talking about her being sick and the attempted theft of the car. Still no crime scene. I called the rental agency and told them what happened and they sent someone over to look at it. It appears there is a sensor that kills the ignition so it cant be hot wired or started without a key. The rental agency cant touch the car until crime scene gets there. I called the Sgt to inquire about crime scene. Seems like when she put me on hold to find out herself they said they would be there sometime during the day. I was like that’s not gonna work as this car needs to be picked up by the rental agency. She says she get back to me. Meantime the insurance agency comes to take pictures and my statement which I gladly give them. Meanwhile in the dag house all day waiting for crime scene. The rental agency calls me again to find out about crimes scene. I call pack the police and they tell me to have the rental agency got to the police station. I call and let them know for them to work it out. Well something must have worked as crime scene arrives!!!!! Not only did crime scene not take a single picture, but they dusted the car took my statement and left. You dust a car and call that crime scene??????? Hey its your world. So I tell the rental agency and they come to pick up the car. Wanted to know if I wanted another one. Said no thanks as I cant be up all night arm guarding a car that should have an alarm on it. But they want to say that I am responsible for the damages since the gate to the property wasn’t locked. Funny I don’t recall telling them the gate wasn’t locked. Said they have to get the price information from Kingston on how much it will cost. What is insurance for I ask?????? Oh anything above the thousand dollar deposit I had to put, oh okay. Yea we shall see about that.
So after that I was upset because the car was the chance to venture out and see things and I was just disgusted after that. Plus I still had a wedding to go to on Sunday to arrangements had to be made for that.

Yea it was a trip of all trips!!!!

But the nice part was the wedding. We started out our journey to Ochie early Sunday morning. Since I didnt have a car any longer my trustee driver Carniel came to my rescue!!!

We got to Ochie in time for the wedding which was suppose to start at 2 but of course the bride wasnt ready until 3pm!!!! It was a simple ceremony but lovely with all the kids, my friend has a son and her groom has three daughters.
