Re: Not much of a "vacation" but Love Jamaica Same way!!!

Thank you Lucky!!
Yea some stuff happened but I know its a way of testing my commitment to spending much more time in JA. Its not all beaches and resorts and I know it but to experience it is so different and I learned that. I rather reality checks now then later!

Re: Not much of a "vacation" but Love Jamaica Same way!!!

I enjoyed reading your report it was so eliquintly put despite your misfortunes.Unfortunantly I can't see the pictures as I am at work an they won't load for some reason.

You also give me hope as I have never really driven in Ja, except for point A to point B no turns. I keep inquiring about car insurance coverage in JA and companies get dumbfounded. I will probably use hertz as I get a corporate rate, but what were the charges and coverge.
I'll need to have a car because like you I have alot of errands to run besides I'll have my son and I go no where with him on any public transportation.

Also, I didn't see the pics, but how was ur villa in Ironshore? Was it a private kitchen and living area? If I may ask how many bedrooms?

I'd drive in JA no problem if it weren't for the rental business. I don't wanna mess with renting a car.

I wanted to use Hertz as well as you get miles with Air Ja but they were booked up. Now insurance on the rental came to 105 bucks for the week. Now I was upset because the deductible was automatically 1k which it seems to be for most of the companies. It was told to me that I should have rented a car with a local agency and I would not have to put a the deposit.
As for car insurance on a regular car they have loads of companies but none that we have in the states. the only one is AIG but I am not sure if they do auto but I think they do.
The villa is Ironshore was nice It had only three bedrooms and the owner lived in one. So I stayed there with other people as well as this time just me alone. So the kitchen and living area was shared. The owner was never there so for the most part I had the place to myself. There are some real nice villas out in Ironshore.

Wow, I have to say your dress fits you to a tee. Sooo beautiful. The wedding looked so festive. And thanks for posting the pics. I believe the fruit on that one tree is soursop. Really not an appropriate name for it since it isn't sour, or at least the juice I drank wasn't. I like it with very little sugar.

Re: Not much of a "vacation" but Love Jamaica Same way!!!

missty! you don't like soursop juice? man i love the stuff! in the philippines, soursop is called guayabano and when mom saw it in the buffet at the AI we stayed at, she snatched it all INCLUDING the uncut ones used to decorate the buffet bar! LOL! when i go to the international grocery store i buy big tins of it.

girl, your report and pics were great. i've never really spent much time in ironshore but the villa you stayed at sounds really nice. i bet you loved having your pick of the fruit trees. and yes, you were wearing that dress! i wanna see what shoes you rocked with that outfit too.

Re: Not much of a "vacation" but Love Jamaica Same way!!!

You have to train the men to take the pictures with the shoes in them. Jomo knows my shoe obsession and the fact that they make the outfit. You will notice when I am dressed up in a picture, my shoes always show.
