Wahoo a gwaan wid tings.
Dom. Republic trip reports

"Shower head was too low" (Who's staying there...Paul Bunyan? [this tourist was from Toronto]). Same tourist: "Food sucked." Okay, he didn't go so far as to say it, but there was probably dust on the lightbulbs, too. Puh-lease!...loosen up, stop your meuling and complaining, stop taking photos of your bathroom fixtures and the white-glove inspections, get out of your hotel room, take an excursion, stop finding fault with anything and everything and have some fun for once in your drab life fer crissakes!

Re: Dom. Republic trip reports

So true Wahoo... when I read those "review" sites, all I can think of is how much I wouldn't want to travel with those people. If they're that stressed out about stupid little things, then they're not appreciating the weather, views, change of scenery, local flavour... so they might as well just go to the mall instead. I'm sure the food court service would be up to standard.

Here are some other choice ones... all D.R. as well. (with the comments I would give were I sitting at the complaints desk...)

On one occassion both swimming pool bars ran out of beer;It took 5 hours before they were able to serve beer.
holy sh|t the world is ending.
You cannot take drinks outside the hotel area.
OMG, NO!
The housekeeping staff was not on any particular schedule so we never knew when the room would be made up or when towels would arrive.
And that's different from hotels where?
The staff themselves seemed as if they were instructed to be friendly but it was not genuine.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're not their best friend, in fact you are the dreaded american tourist. They genuinely love your money though.
Despite the lizard/snake that fell out of the tree on the tram at night and landed on me, it wasn't too bad.
Oh dear... did the lizard clearing team forget to check that particular palm before you passed by?
The staff really should try to learn better English.
Maybe they just didn't want to talk to you.
Very, very hot
lol... perhaps Alaska would have been a better destination?
Long shuttle ride between hotel and airport;
A hotel beside the runway would have fixed that... nice and peaceful.
