aww jc i forgot about how he was jumping all over your bed, wearing your sweater, and FARTING like crazy! all the while he was sporting that lovely black eye. lol

thanks damswell. everyone always says, "you adopted him? but he looks just like you!"

so after shopping, we go back to jamaicamiss' house to chill. i love going there! she takes me out back and shows me all the plants she's got going. it won't be too long before that coconut tree is ready for a hammock. it's growing like crazy. and the okra bush is producing mammoth-sized okra. this one is so big i had to take a picture of it.

we sit at the table and talk and talk and talk while we eat some chicken and veggies. it was also the first time i ever had bammy. after we eat marie calls and says that her grandson is at her house. i haven't seen him in a year and she promised me she'd bring him by before i left. we set up a time for later on that night and jamaicamiss brings me back to my hotel. before leaving, ted and i discussed a certain bracelet that i'd like for him to make me and i've decided that i'd like to wear it at my wedding. he measured my wrist and promised that he'd have it for me. i can't wait to see what it looks like! so i'm left at the hotel with parting hugs from jamaicamiss and ted. i just love them!

the entire family came out to see me on my last night. here we all are, standing in the parking lot chatting and gushing over the baby. he can dance! he can swing it weh, stookie, and dutty wine. it was adorable. marie brought me a bag full of june plums. i've never tried it before and horace is telling me how sweet and delicious it is. then the baby's mom (i can't remember her name) says, "no it's not, it's really sour." i had one for breakfast the next morning and it had my eyes twitching and my lips puckering lol. i noticed that the deeper you got into the fruit, the sweeter it got. oliver said it's really good with salt.

after they leave i'm passing time in my room. it's getting late and i'm waiting for oliver to get off work. i call him to see how much longer he'll be and when he picks up this is our conversation:
me: hey babe. where are you?
him: i'm still on the street.
me: how much longer til you get here?
him: oh, i don't know...

and just then i hear a knock on the door. there he is with his phone on his ear talking to me. what a comedian.

shoot, i just finished the rest of my trip report and etj booted me off. i don't feel like writing it all over again so imma make y'all wait.

ok, so you have to be Miss Responsibility right now with your house and all, but hey, once all that's squared away you can go back to jamaica and spend a ridiculous amount of money and have fun. it'll be worth the wait. until then, live vicariously through dee.
