Good Morning and thanks for the pictures. Where is White River Valley? It looks like a good beach.

The White River flows out of the coastal mountains between Ocho Rios and Boscobel on Jamaica's North Coast. White River is famous in Jamaica for holding a large Reggae Festival and there is rafting and tubing on the river as well.

Reggae Beach is a few miles East of White River where it enters the ocean. Sandals and a few other resorts are between the mouth of the White River and Reggae Beach. Reggae Beach is privately owned by Jah Mike who used to be Garnet Silk's manager and he also owns the property where my two friends were standing along the western bank of the White River.

Thanks for the reply Donkey Years. Sounds like a fascinating place. Do you go to jamaica often? How did you meet Jah Mike? And what's up with your interesting name?

Yes, it is a facinating place. I have been traveling to Jamaica for the past 24 years and will be retiring there after "Donkey Years" working in Babylon later this year or early next.
I knew Garnet Silk as a youth and thus met Jah Mike way back but re-acquainted this trip as my friends are working for him on the farm.
"Donkey Years" is a Jamaican expression indicating a long time like, "Been Donkey Years since we chatted" etc..
I work with the Accompong Maroons so I will post some pictures from there later as I get my photos uploaded to the new server.

I would be happy to answer questions. I have some stories I wrote over the years and I will probably post some if people want to know about my travels. I am new to this site and don't want to overdo my welcome
