Re: Hurricane Emily heading in Jamaica's direction

Rain is starting heavy here in Mobay. Wind is picking up. Will try to post as often as I can as long as the electricity and cable are still on. Maybe a little prayer for the south coast people would help them.

Re: Hurricane Emily heading in Jamaica's direction

We are getting rain in Kingston, but not as heavily as with Dennis. No winds are noticeable. Emily strengthened to Category 4 with winds of 140mph but it's something like 190miles south of Jamaica so we won't be getting those winds. Thankfully, it's moving away - at 18mph and still going WNW.

God good fi true. Him divert it fram wi again.

Re: Hurricane Emily heading in Jamaica's direction

We're getting a light breeze now. Emily is 135 miles south west of Kingston and is moving WNW at 18 mph. It's strengthened to the high end of Cat 4 - 155mph winds! Can you imagine if that had hit Jamaica? Tank yuh Jesus fi yuh mercy.

Di people dem Cancun betta sort dem self out fast. By di time Emily reach deh so, a Cat5...total destruction!

Re: Hurricane Emily heading in Jamaica's direction

Wow Bounty! 155 mph! Let's pray for Mexico.

It is still raining here in Mobay but mildly. The wind and rain was heaving this afternoon. Don't know how much it dumped on my land but lots of it went down to the street and away from my home.

Mobay airport is to open at 8pm, Kingston at 5pm. Tia, looks like it's going to be on for your trip tomorrow.
