Re: Tsunami kills 11000 in Asia
This was rough! There may never be a full count of those lost from outlying areas. No warning and no way to get away. Must be a hand-of-God thing that we are not meant to understand. Just pray for the lost souls.

Re: Tsunami kills 11000 in Asia
My God, what a big tragedy!
Last news talk about 12.000 dead in Sri Lanka and more than 20.000 in Indonesia. And now the major risk is an epidemic because of contamined water, with few medicines and hospitals. R.I.P. |

Re: Tsunami kills 11000 in Asia
The latest numbers today were 50,000 and they expect it to double in the next few days. Geez I literally cried as I watched the news tonight.

Re: Tsunami kills 11000 in Asia
PB it IS a whole country. You know the population of Grenada is only 90 some thousand. This is almost like watching the updates from 9/11, but on a much larger scale. Every time I turn on the news its another 10,000 people gone!
I watched the news last night about the little 22 month old boy they found and didn't know where his parents were or even what country he was from. That's the part where I started crying. In the end they still hadn't found his mother but found out his father was in another hospital somewhere. The family is from Sweden.

Re: Tsunami kills 11000 in Asia
What a bad end to year 2004, this year was really terrible ( wars, cyclone, tsunamis); that is also reminding us that we are nothing compare to the forces of the nature , i don't know if it was god's hand did that and why but it's very frightening.
I'm very worried for the future of my kids concerning earth pollution and its consequences ... |

Re: Tsunami kills 11000 in Asia
Dread I'm glad you said it because I was thinking it. I've thought that for years and then they came out with that movie "The day after Tomorrow". It really makes one think.....we abuset he CRAP outta this earth we live on and we don't expect it to come back at us one day?
I totally agree that this past year has been one of MASS chaos on the planet. The hurricanes, the wars EVERYWHERE, this tsunami. Its all so unbelievable to me. Is anyone else scared?
