Jamaica's National Heroes Day
Today, Monday October 18, is Jamaica's National Heroes Day. This is in celebration of our seven National Heroes - Nanny of the Maroons, Sam Sharpe, Paul Bogle, George William Gordon, Marcus Garvey, Alexander Bustamente, and Norman Manley.

Today, the Governor General will be bestowing National Honours on several individuals who have made significant contributions to Jamaicas development. There will also be other festive activities taking place throughout the island.

If im not mistaken its alwyas oct. 18...mi nuh too member...

in Jamaica a date is a date..we don;t do like how they have thanksgiving here...where it;s just the last thursday of November...there is always a set date for everything..

well I have to take back what i said....it is celebrated on the third monday in october....

hmm i guess mi never really paid attention....

It was more like Sammy dead oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooy!
