Samba a gwaan wid tings.
Its ok to be a dictator with friends in certain

places. When you get into trouble (like Sad-man) is when you err in thinking you should develop the nation and make it

independent. Manual Noriega was recalled when he started to forget who put him in Panama to protect investments there.

Luckily for Panama, designs for ships bigger than the canal were already in the pipeline.

Another Noriega/Sad-man

will soon be installed to protect "recent huge investments". Once the signature on the 80billion was signed, stocks rose.

Growth will happen before elections, this money will not leave Us shores, but will be paid over to companies with contracts

to operate in Iraq.

At the end of the day the people who will suffer the most will the Iraqi people.

Finally,

war is necessary......................when so much of your economy depends on arms sales.

kc, The North Korea "thing" started when the US cut the oil supply to N.Korea. In return Kim said he would re-start a reactor(for power generation). The thing has the potential of a stand-by generator/Delco. This was all Kim had as a negociating tool. A leader/dictator with a country in darkness and people starving.

Why bother to cut the oil supply?. Uncle Sammy's army provides military presence in Asia and gets huge negotiating leverage for it. None of the big players in Asia get along so they have to go through the US.

The oil issue was created to stop certain countries from wanting to create their own defence, thus weakening the negociating power of the US. The WMD drama was/is necessary because no counrty in the region was known to have the technology (star wars) to protect themself against long-range missiles. The fact is that N.Korea has no reason to attact any country in Asia with WMD's, its just somthing created to set people straight.

Done talk!

That is true Samba but I still beleive that N. Korea not really worried about any of its closets Asian neighbours, but as you so aptly pointed out they needed something to get the US attention and also elevate their status as more than a poor ass country.

saddam captured

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Without firing a shot, American forces captured a bearded and haggard-looking Saddam Hussein in a dirt pit across a river from one of his former palaces near his hometown of Tikrit, ending one of the most intensive manhunts in history. The arrest was a huge victory for U.S. forces battling an insurgency by the ousted dictator's followers.

Maj. Gen. Ray Odierno, commander of the 4th Infantry Division, which captured Saddam, said the ousted leader did not appear to be directly organizing resistance ? noting no communication devices were found in his hiding place. "I believe he was there more for moral support," Odierno said.

Saddam's capture was based on information from a member of a family "close to him," Odierno told reporters in Tikrit.

The crucial information came after prisoners from raids and intelligence tips led to increasingly precise information, as CIA and military analysts gradually narrowed down their list of potential sites where Saddam was staying, a U.S. official said.

The capture took place at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at one of dozens of safehouses Saddam is thought to have: a walled compound on a farm in Adwar, a town 10

miles from Tikrit, not far from one of Saddam's former palaces, Odierno said.

I could not say it better, because the September 11

attacks were not done by Saddam, there is a greater threat at large.

Re: Bush, Bin Laden, Saddam

yes man, and then Saddam should be exposed to the Kuwati government and the people of Iraq so that he can be charged for his war crimes and genocidal activities. He is a brute and deserved what ever he gets.

September 11 changed the entire inhabited earth. The international peace keeping force needs to target OSAMA Bin Laden immediately and pursue this menace to society.

I am fearful imagine me on a trip back home to Jamaica, certainly I can't drive my own car so flight has now become a risk.

Re: Bush, Bin Laden, Saddam

I was watching the news commentary on O'Reiley Factor and saw where they interviewed Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and heard a remark when she insisted that she was just kidding when she wondered aloud whether the Bush administration is holding Usama bin Laden captive, waiting to break him out at the best political moment. Especially since the 2004 elections are around the corner.
