I would say im drawn to human interest documentaries and anything that thinks outside the box and exposes other elements in the world, besides our local and national news. I like to see the economical development of other places and their standards versus the US. So i would say humanities and economics. And also put alittle Hollywood trash in their to liven things up(lol)

I like the tybloid stuff but not for the reasons you may think. I think people are so misinterpreted, misjudged and such so much. I like to see all the lies they tell to ruin people's life. The assuming bastards. Stop the lying! I want real life proof before I believe that crap. I'm a master of wordz, I know the alternations (even in photos). Journalist in the making right here. I want to interview people who are misinterpreted to bring the truth. I watch it to see how some Journalists are just corrupting the rep of some if not all Journalists. I'll right the wrong. I know its a wish. Or maybe I'll understand why and do the same thing to keep my job .

Politics and Financial stuff put me to sleep.
Human Interest is always very interesting.

When I hear the words "human interest stories" I always think of the lame spots on the local news about orphaned 3-legged puppies, or a brave local woman's fight against testicular cancer, and stuff like that. Not that the stories aren't heartwarming, but they always put them on local newscasts because they run out of exciting stuff like fires and shootings.

I hate politics, because it affects me so I need to pay attention and yet at the same time everything is propaganda and posturing and you can't believe anything on the partisan news channels. I wish I could ignore it, but that's impossible.

I hate entertainment news because they tell you things that are irrelavent, like which ex-member of N Sync bought a house with a gold toilet seat, or how Steve Tyler's daughter orgasmed twice last night. I don't care. The daily life of any artist has nothing to do with their art, period. The only thing I ever want to hear about Paris Hilton is when she dies. Not lying in a hospital bed on the edge, mind you--only when she's completely cold.

Financial stuff is important, but dry. I don't actively invest so knowing stock trends ain't gonna change my RRSP, so I'm not glued to the set, but I do like to know when major things happen, so as not to live a sheltered, naive existence.

I listen to / read financial news when I'm at work
Politics are drawing me at the moment for 'obvious' reasons - I think just about everyone in the world is looking in on this!
Human interest is always relevant - it could be any one of us
And Entertainment news lightens the mood.

The only news I used to avoid was sports - but I'm getting into footy and F1 right now!!!

Nothing negative which limits my news intake to about nothing. IMO, negative, murder, death, dead kids, blah blah blah does not send a message that I want to hear. I want to hear about good things like:
people overcoming cancer, landfills that are turned into nice parks, and other upbeat human interest stuff.
