Hi my first time on this site ...... has any one been s been denied a visa to come to the uk because they have been deported from the states ... my fiancee applied to kingston and got denied because they stated that he did not inform them about the deportation in the future will our spousal visa be denied.

That's a good question. I'm kinda in the same situation. Why did he get deported and for how long.

I have heard if you get deported for overstaying another visa or criminal activity, you must wait at least 3 years to apply again and then, it is usually denied.

It says on the consulate site that you cant reside in Ja if you have been deported from any country or something along the lines.

If you are Jamaican and are deported from another country you will be risiding in Jamaica, they deport you back to where you are originally from.

Sometimes once you get dip you have to wait all 5-10 plus years before applying again.

I mean if your from another country beside Ja and you get deported from anywhere you cant get a visa for Ja, I assume she is talking residence.

dont mean to piss u off even more but if hes been denied a visitors visa to the UK youve got one hell of a long road to go through b4 u start thinking about spouse visas (or settlement visas as they called). have u been on the ukvisas website? they will explain more than i can in this thread. but if you want him to settle in uk long-term its gonna take years and u will need proof every step of the way about your relationship, not to mention financial backing. dont want to burst yr bubble but from what you say it may just be easier for you to go over to ja.

It still doesnt make much of a difference as he was dipped from somewhere so hard once your dipped its the easiest excuse to get denied over and over again

nothing easy about going either way. trust me ive debated both options in depth. i just know that uk citizens going to ja, rather than the other way round, is ever so slightly easier cos were a commonwealth country.

Wonder if they ever got it?
