It's as safe as can be. I trust they will test it somewhere along the line and stop and start shipments, as they have.

i guess with time i will get usee to the idea and realise that i do not have a ackee tree in the back of my yard so mi haffi tek weh mi cyaan get

Exactly. Next time I go back, I am coming home with bags of blanched ackee. For now, canned is how it has to be. Just imagine my horror when they stopped even exporting the cans and I couldn't get any.

No, I can't. I freaked after a couple of months. Now, I'm forced to pay nearly $10 a can and split it between 2 meals just to make it last. We decided we will try to have it at least twice a month.

I feel for you.
