Dutty Wine Death
 Tanisha Henry, an 18 year-old resident of Beacon Avenue in Thompson Pen, became the first official causalty of the 'Dutty Wine' dance when she died this morning right in the middle of a 'School Uniform' party in her community.
YardFlex.com went to the Spanish Town hospital hoping to get some information relating to her death but a "Dr. Knight' who was the physician on duty at that time was not there. Our investigations took us to Beacon Avenue where we spoke to her mother, who with tears standing in her eyes, managed to blurt out the story in between heaving sobs.
"When I go there, dem ask if she was doing the Dutty Wine dance. I told them yes, and the doctor said that it was probably it that killed her because she have a cut on her forehead...there was a big crowd at the hospital...Tanisha was well loved by people...she was going to do so much with her life," her mother, Linda Henry, told a reporter.

Did she have a head injury and then wine to death or did she get the head injury while doing the wine? I'm confused too.

I'm thinkin she could have lost her balance while spinning her head and maybe hit something. it said she had a cut on her head. I can totally see that happening.
It is sad cuz she was just havin some fun.

I love seeing people dance, but I often cringe lately when I see girls' heads swing past the floor at 90 mph. I'd be surprised if this reported death is only the FIRST major injury. The floor is hard, and if the guy bends his knee by an extra 6 inches while swinging a girl around, she gonna hit it hard.

Read about this earlier....doesn't sound like they have all the information released yet but they will be doing an autopsy to determine the cause of death. They did mention that the poor girl had a laceration on her head but did not mention the severity. So, not sure if the laceration was the cause of death or a result of hitting her head after she hit an object? Very unfortunate for the young girl and her family.

She was doing the dance and reportedly got dizzy and fell forward...hitting her head.
ohh well the doctors did warn about whine off u neck ina dis ya dance so it was only a matter of time...sad though
