Post here ideas or pictures of crafty things you've done around the house, that don't cost much. I came up with this idea when my mom thought I was smart for making a picture frame out of a basket that some bath products came in.
Here's a pic of that. The basket is flat-bottomed and had no purpose for me once it was empty. So I got the wise idea to use it to showcase one of my fav pics of Curtis when he was 4.
Here's a next thing I have. This was a gift from a family friend, she gave it to Curtis last year at his homecoming party we had.
Sooooo simple, yet really nicely done. Write a favorite quote on a flat rock. Not sure where the wooden stand came from but you could probably find it in a craft store.

I found a lady on Ebay who will custom make ANY quote or phrase you want, and put it into a vinyl wall decal. Its not expensive at all and adds your own touch to a wall anywhere you want.

The decal is an excellent idea, Jamcan. Especially for anyone that does not want to have to prime and paint over the artwork on the wall once you're ready to change it.
I was looking at this website yesterday (awesome furniture and cool innovative home decor items if you're into contemporary design!) and found some decals and they were inexpensive as well, but not quite the designs I had in mind.
