Felt like posting an update. Well I'm still a 10, but tummy has gone down SIGNIFICANTLY!!.....a couple more inches to go. Been jogging with the kids, situps, light cardio, a whole lot of squats. Trying to eat right, but bwoy, I've cut out alot of the sweets, like chocolate and all that stuff....but bwoy..it tuff....

Keep up the exercise programme, drink more water, cut out junk food, cut down on the portions, eat more small meals during the day (breakfast, mid-morning healthy snack, lunch, mid-afternoon healthy snack, dinner) and don't eat late at night.

Yes, I agree with you. I did train in body building and nutrition years ago and that was the message. I do all of the above and I am a size 14. I would be a size 18 or higher otherwise - as all of the other women in my family are.
Also a size 14 means something different depending on the country. I wear a size 10 or 12 in the US, and a size 12 here.
Genetics play a huge part but you can be slimmer than those in your family by doing the above.

Re: Omg!!
Yes about the spot reducing. When I slim down I slim down everywhere. I don't want to lose my curves - I like them - but I like to be more toned and less flabby.
The older I get, the harder it is to lose the extra weight for sure.
I never liked junk food, but I do have a weakness for chocolate - so I have to really watch that. If I don't eat many small healthy meals, and I don't excercise 3-5 times min. a week, I gain weight the first week! - except for when I'm in Jamaica?
