Have you ever had some health issues and googled the symptoms BEFORE seeing your doctor? I did that the other day before my Dr appointment and I was like WTH???? Diabetes????
Unfortunately my doctor concurred on this one BUT.....
.....I frequently google health stuff and you should never rely on it because according to google I should be dead
One time I convinced myself I had caught HIV/AIDS from my work place after getting splashed with bodily fluids from an infected patient. I went and got bloodwork done to check..but in the mean time I googled symptoms! I dunno if any of you have every googled the early symptoms of HIV but they are the same as the common flu.
Anyways I was pretty much counting my life as over and writing my will when my blood tests came back and my doctor was like WTF ....you have the flu..chill out!! Your fine. I went back five months later for a re test just to be sure LOL!!
I do this all the time with Jadyn and I, not a good idea... its scares the heck out of me, the stuff i find.
OH WAIT... I also watch A LOT of mystery diagnosis... I think that explains enough!!
The most recent is a skin rash jadyn has. The hard part on finding a diagnosis for it, is there is no images (that i can find) of rashes on darker colored skin, so its hard for me to know if it would look the same...
The dr. didnt even want to see her, from what i told her she said she thinks its viral and she is on benedryl and i put neosporin on the areas. and if its not better in 2-3 days then go in....

So you have diabetes? No need to explain, if you say yes i understand... That totally sucks though, if thats the case.
i normally just hit WEBMD.com and type the symptoms in...its pretty good!
i use webmd too. i've diagnosed at least 2 problems using it. i had a skin rash once, and the dermatologist agreed that i hit the nail on the head with my webmd diagnosis!

Thats what i do.......once I went to the ER because of a pain in my leg I had gone on Web MD first and I told the Doc that i was pretty sure I had something called Anterior shin splints.....he laughed and said "stay off the Internet" after a whole bunch of tests and hours of waiting guess what....I had anterior shin splints....lololol
I have been been diagnosed with Bursitis by my doctor and after googling it, I refrained from going to a Physical Therapist as he recommended. I followed the online recommendation of taking anti-inflammatory tablets as well as to do daily exercise. Its been working good so far but I still wouldnt substitue my Physician for Google.

Good choice..... I don't believe in physical therapists..they are a waste of money & time.
