Re: Googling Symptoms

I actually googled my symptoms from my illness two weeks ago and discovered I had the Swine flu. I went into a bit of a panic and called the health dept...lol.

Needless to say... I didn't have it!!!

Actually, I had a really good physiotherapist after my back injury.
He had worked with Olympic Athletes but settled down home in my home province with his own practise.
The doctors told me I would never be able to work out with weights again and I would be in constant pain.
I follow the PT's plan and was back to work in 6 weeks and the next year after walking and stretching - back to weights a few times a week and no pain most of the time!!!

I think it really depends on the individual.

Re: Googling Symptoms

I googled my symptoms of a swollen lymph node and it said that if it swelled fast and was painful it wasn't cancer it was a reaction to a shot like the pneumonia one.
I had just had the pneumonia one.
I went into the doctor and he said, well I normally tell people to not pay attention to the internet assessments but this time they were right!
It went away in a few days. Good thing - I could hardly lift my arm!

This is true.

but with my situation, everything did lead up to exercise (phys. therapy, cortizone shots, chiropractor). I just took out the wasted elctroshocks, drugs, cracking and stuff and invested in a master trainer at the local gym. IMO it all comes down to that exercise & stretching....doing it the right way.

After what I went through.... I will not allow myself to be over weight ever nor out of shape ever again... the pain is not worth it!

Re: Googling Symptoms

I hear you there girl. I am still a little over weight but nothing major and I am in good shape. I excercise 3-5 times a week and walk every day. I'm going out dancing tonight - can't wait! I hope to be doing that like my Grampa till I'm 85!
