Is the vaccine keeping them from getting HPV or from giving it?..in any event I don;t think that anyone should be REQUIRED to take some vaccine...

I wouldn't mind...as long as they told me BEFORE I got there so I could get it done.

It does matter which way...cause if they are giving them the vaccine to prevent them grom giving it..then that is being presumptious...who says that all immigrants have HPV..and that is also being discriminating...well in either sense it would be discriminating...either for them or for the US....

I don't get what the fuss is. Its not like HPV is AIDS, or even carries the same complex as having AIDS would!

Its just a requirement....it is what it is! There are bigger problems in the world...in my mind.

Im not mekking no fuss woman...mi just seh it;s a bit presumptious on thier part if they are giving it to them to prevent them from giving it to others.

Well people can have it for years without knowing too. So I don't see it as presumptuous as much as precautionary.

They are required to have a full medical exam with x-rays and blood work too. Don't you think that is a bit on the intrustive side as well, Alex?

Honestly......if you knew all the paperwork and hoops required for the visa process, by the time you get to the medical and the shots required, you are ready to do just about anything to make it all stop!

Exactly my point.
it is becoming standard practice in the US for health care providers to give the vaccine to all females...as a precaution on the part of prevention of cancer and not spreading it unknowingly...

if ALL immigrants were at risk of HPV, I imagine they would ask...but the CDC must have determined that this age range and gender is more highly predisposed to contracting and/or spreading... that's why they are being vaccinated in THIS country as are new immigrants to THIS country...

Because there's a flow of immigrants and its easy to catch them as they come. With people already there, its a MUCH bigger task! Harder to impose and regulate.
