Thank You.

Working on it, though.

WOW!
Congrats.
Did you consciously do something to aid that (diet/medication) or was it by mere coincidence?

Mentally... I am whole for the first time in my life...
Physically... I have always been well... I do appreciate it more now though.

Diet . . . lost 16 pounds too - but I'm kinda "stuck". I'm gonna have to do something drastic now -- like exercise.

One advice...If you DO start exercising, do it slowly and gradually.
A couple of weeks ago I bought myself a new Elliptical trainer machine and jumped on as if I was still 20 years old and in a battle-fit military unit.
Girl! After an hour of workout, I got off, laydown on my carpet to take a break and felt like I was hit by a truck!
Nausea, headaches , stomach aches, you name it.
I later found out that my system was almost depleted of electrolytes.
Now I sip Gatorade or Propel during workouts.

Re: I lost 15 pounds!!!!!!!!
ooooo I love elipticals... but when I first started on one I could only do 8 min... and I was in good shape already or so I thought... different machines and excercises train different areas of your body... I worked up to an hour on the eliptical... on level 11... fun fun... good for you Alex...

Re: I lost 15 pounds!!!!!!!!
Here is some fitness advice: - You should drink a pint of water for every pound lost during exercise.
- Try to drink a gallon of water a day. (128 ounces)
- As Alex said take it slow when starting an exercise regimen. IOW, do not overdo it.
- It's ok to cheat every so often. But it is important get back in the saddle. Do not beat yourself up over a cheat meal. That can kill your motivation.
- It takes 30 minutes of moderate exercise to start to burn fat.
- What works for someone else may not work for you. Find what works best for your schedule, lifestyle and your body.
- Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Pride has been the cause of many injuries in the gym and failed attempts to loose weight.
- Cardio before or after weight training? It's better afterwards. You burn fat quicker.
Most of all congrats...congrats to you all on your accomplishments.

I do better doing cardio every day and weight training 3 days a week... also I use very little weight and lots of reps... if I use greater weight and less reps I get bulky muscles which I do not like... I like that long lean toned look... smooth muscles... I also love excercise balls... for crunches... they isolate and make me "feel the burn" better with less reps...

Re: I lost 15 pounds!!!!!!!!
You are a doing a muscular endurance program like I am. I bulk up easily too. I used to do 5 days a week once a day, but lately I have been working out 6 days a week, twice a day for my competitions. Have you tried the BOSU or the glides?

Re: I lost 15 pounds!!!!!!!!
no... I actually haven't... I just found something that works... keeps me fit and makes me feel great and stuck with it... I know some might would get bored with the same workout but it actually is a comfort to me... I often meditate while working out... is that weird?
