Re: Digital Cameras.....Help!
actually all of the digital cameras do video now..even your 150xx ones. i have a sony < insert model here> its a very really nice one. 4.1 mega pixels. if your looking for a good camera but not to spend so much money<under 300xx> 3.0 mega pixel is good enough and sony, nikon, olympus are great brands to consider

I have a digital camera and I love it. Convenient as hell. I can print the pictures I want and either delete the rest or just keep them on my PC......

How much video can you hold with the storage media?

Re: Digital Cameras.....Help!
just depends on 1. your cameras internal memory card if it has one 2. you can buy a memory stick with more or less memory
on average with a digi camera it wont hot to much..maybe a few minutes. you could invest in a digital vido camera and those usually still take digital still pictures

Re: Digital Cameras.....Help!
It depends on how much memory your cam has and what resolution it records at. I've recorded clips a little more than five minutes long and still had plenty of room left. I have a 512MB mem card though. Just remember that a digital camera will not record at the same frame rate as a DV camera, generally speaking. Meaning the video won't be as 'smooth' during playback............

This camera receives great reviews:
Canon Powershot SD20 5MP Ultra Compact Digital Camera
Canon takes a cue from Sony!, November 12, 2004
Reviewer: Peter Adams (NY) - See all my reviews
I just bought the SD20 and it is excellent. The design works perfectly for my needs. I wanted to be able to carry my digital camera and get excellent pictures where ever I go. I was maticulous in my selection and my research paid off in this camera. Initially I was going to go sony for their design and memory stick capability. But, I wanted the Canon quality that people spoke of in their reviews. The solution: The Canon Powershot SD20. Now I leave my Canon Rebel SLR at home, and don't miss it much. I love the built in zoom, the point-and-shoot, the cristal clear quality and numerous shooting modes. Usually I don't need the full 5MP and I set the camera at a convenient lower setting so no resizing is neccesary when I load the pictures onto my computer. This makes it very easy to send my friends the pics by simply selecting the file from my desktop as an attachment. I love this thing! I can't wait for the holidays to come around so I can take tons more great pictures with this super little camera!

Re: Digital Cameras.....Help!
Canon PowerShot A95 5MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom
Fantastic little camera, February 15, 2005
Reviewer: RoseMarie Putnam (Mid Michigan, USA) - See all my reviews
After receiving a gift certificate at work, I did a lot of research on available cameras. The Canon Powershots had a great rating on another web site, so I went to store to check them out. I have very large hands for a woman, so I was very concerned about the size of the small digital cameras, and if I would be able to use one comfortably. This camera rocks! It is so easy to use! I'm not a beginner, but if I were, I could still use this camera the first time out. I love the flexibility of the screen and the transfer to e-mail is flawless. Buy a card scanner though...makes it much safer for the camera. Crisp, clean shots and small enough to drop in a jacket pocket...vacation heaven. Get extra media cards...the A95 gives you a few less pictures for the space, but the quality is worth it.
Down side? The cover on the media card doesn't feel sturdy. You will need to be careful opening it. Still trying to find where to get an attachment lens at a good price. (yes, you can add on just like an SLR) Also, would have been nice if rechargeable batteries were included. You'll want them if you shoot a lot at one time. Actually, there are almost too many options on the A95. Unbelievable how much you can do with it for this price.
Very good looking camera, very easy to hold and use, great advanced features for someone past the beginner stage and after using it for a month, I am very pleased with it!

Re: Digital Cameras.....Help!
Kodak EasyShare CX7530 5MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom
KODAK DOES IT AGAIN, December 30, 2004
Reviewer: Timothy Janson (Michigan) - See all my reviews
I've stuck with kodak through all my digital camera purchases and this is my third one. The ease of use and fun of Kodak is surpassed by no one and it's a great bargain to boot. The CX7530 has a maximum resolution of 5 megapixels, for 2560 x 1920 pixel prints. 3X optical zoom and 5X digital zoom bring the action close up and personal. The movie mode allows you to take videos at a speedy 24 frames per second. Automatic picture rotation makes pictures taken vertically appear right side up on the camera, computer screen or television. There are Nine picture modes including night, close-up, landscape, black and white and sepia. And of course there's red-eye reduction. Quickly use the one-touch easy share button to download, print, or e-mail your pictures.
how's the Quality? how about fabulous...bright, vibrant colors, focused so that droplets of water hang perfectly focused in mid-air. makes me feel like I am a professional photographer. The camera features a good-sized and clear LCD screen with automatic shutoff. I'd rate the CX7530 better than average when it comes to batter consumption.
A great camera!

Re: Digital Cameras.....Help!
Olympus Stylus 500 5MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom
Great camera, February 22, 2005
Reviewer: J. Griffin (Minneapolis, MN) - See all my reviews
I first bought the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 and was very unhappy with it. The pictures were dark and the red eye was terrible. I exchanged it for the Stylus 500 and after using it for a couple of weeks I am thrilled with this camera. It takes great pictures, it's pretty quick and is very easy to use. Also, compared to the Sony the 2.5 LCD is MUCH clearer. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants high quality images and an easy to use camera.
