We just picked up a hp pavilion a810n with 3300+ AMD Athlon 64bit processor, 512mb ddr sdram, 160gb hard drive, dvd+-rw , and 17inch lcd screen. We are up and running and having a blast with it! Major improvement over our old 'puter! I also got a Kodak 7590 from Ms. Salt for christmas and it works great with this system!

Well, you just had a wonderful Christmas, didn't you? I have to get me a computer at home. Borrowing the company laptop from time to time is not cutting it.

welcome back to the internet realm oldsalt! i only have access while i'm here at school but i too was blessed with a really nice new dell for the classroom. i made the mistake of being on etj while my students were in the room and one of them saw honeypye's avatar and said, "Uh, miss king....that don't even look right!" lol, now i make sure they're at lunch before i get on etj.

I'd double the RAM, and put in a higher quality video card.

Beware of Kodak digital cameras. They have a low reliability rating. I see alot of them in the refurbished departments of online computer stores.

Thanks for the tip Xexon! I don't use the camera all that much so it should be fine for me.

And, yes, I did read all that from the front of the 'puter but I'm learning - I replaced a modem card in the last one when a freak storm blew it out.

Here you are driving an 18 wheeler of computers, and you're sucking up the internet with a straw?

Get broadband. You can't cruise down the internet superhighway with a horse and buggy.

And if you got broadband already, then scuze me.
