No..not physically, but virtually! I am angry and don't know what to do or how it even happened!

I have a business account through Yahoo that I send all my clients email on a daily basis. Somehow..today..within minutes... my bulk mail box and my safe in-box were filled with over 500 emails that were of "failur" "returned" "Blocked" or what ever. It seems that someone is using my email address to send millions of peeps spam....

The question is..how do they do this and how can I stop it? they have taken my email address and somehow replaced my user name with theirs.

This is awful and i need to stop it...any suggestions???

if they have been using your yahoo email i suggest getting a paid for email
but first run a good antivirus and adware detector

usually nonsensical names are spammers
and your account is being used as a "zombie" by a trojan

what do you mean by getting a paid for email?

I do pay for my business account which includes the email. This is really bumming me out

Also..I only access my email on the web...I dont use an email program from my machine.

paid for email is provided by your isp (interpet provider)
they usually have safeguards against that kind of thing
if you run a antivirus and nothing shows up
call your isp

Ok..I am ashamed to have to admit this...but I have been neglecting an anti-virus protector. I guess I thought I was sumwhat ammune to viruses cause I am on my mac Do you have anything good for a mac u know of??

no computer or O/S is 100% safe from viruses
i use one of the best a/v out there (paid for) and i still get them occasionally
