City That Never Sleeps Is Out Cold
Just 8 inches of snow fell overnight on NYC, yet life as we know it has come to a screeching halt. All of the city’s schools and many government and private offices have closed for the day. We’re still digging out and hope to have “clear” roads by tomorrow morning’s commute. Currently 29 F (-1 C) with winds gusting to 23 mph. Photos of East 75 St., Manhattan, taken at 4 pm EST.
More than 400 flights were cancelled to and from NY/NJ airports.

LOL Kat!!! You guys are amateurs! A screeching halt huh, flights cancelled?.....imagine. Does anyone have snow tires? LOL, so that was your big excursion you told me about today?
I actually just heard on our news that a couple homeless people have died here in Calgary in the last few days due to the -40 C temperatures. Pretty sad.

As you can see, Jam, I didn't get too far. Out the door, click, then right back in. LOL
P.S. Don't you have homeless shelters in Calgary??? Way too cold up there for outdoor "living".

Re: City That Never Sleeps Is Out Cold
Isn't Vegas the city that never sleeps and the Big Apple the city that never stops? Could be vice-versa, I'm not sure. Anyway, I have to laugh whenever Texas gets a light dusting of a couple inches they shut everything down and cars end up in ditches! We so rarely get anything that when we do everyone freaks! NYC - I envy you some Kat - did you get to see Cats on Broadway? We had to drive 3 hours to Dallas to see a touring production. Guess first I should ask if you like Webber. Well, you'll be up and running in no time. Have a good deli sandwich, preferably a ruben, for me!

Hey, Old Salt, I was thinking about you yesteday when I was listening to some old Traffic -- Freedom Rider, Empty Pages, John Barleycorn... thought you might have been into that yourself at some point.

There were a lot of goood groups in those days. Sounds OLD!
60's - broadway musicals, polkas, top 40, ccr
70's - alice cooper, black sabbath, moody blues, jethro tull
80's - classical, top 40
90's - sports talk radio
00's - eclectic mix
I went from wild one - b. idol, to stayin alive - bgs, to my way - f. sinatra.
Ever hear Traffic's Paper Sun?
Ahhhh - the good old days!!!
