Re: just returned from JA

yeah, here if you are not blonde and stick thin, you are regarded ugly,Im a UK size 10-12 and already being told to lose some weight.
my big luck is that i met my ex husband years ago,, he was British but of Nigerian descend and he taught me how to love my body...he even considered me thin.....
so, i think i will stick to african-carribean thinking, too.
I think Europe is in a way an ill continent, we have people dying of hunger in certain countries and girls in EU vomit freely not to gain weight. and if Victoria Beckham is regarded as a beauty, then I think we are really facing an issue

Hi Betty!

I have heard about the sunsets in Negril I was also considering going there and stay at the resort there the next time I book a resort. I hear its beautiful the only thing that turned me off I hear people walk around half naked and its a young crowd of people. The person who told me about it made it seem like it was one big wild orgy. You don't make it seem that way what was your experience there?

I'm also tall n thick I'm 5' 10" I started dating carribean men after being married to my Jamaican american together for 7 years ex husband then later my ex bf who is originally from Mon bay Jamaica I was with him off and on for 4 years but he lives here in my community in the usa and travels between here and Jamaica. I think islander men treat women like princesses in general they know how to make you feel special. I dated men of all races in my lifetime but I love carribean men I love their skin color, bone structure and I find them sweet, caring and sexy. I always had a thing for dark skin men though. I also love to be fussed over.

Yes it does happen afterwards........some silly people bake themselves red previous days and then come back to re-cook themselves in the burning sun the next day. I've seen it with my own eyes resulting in blisters the size of my hands. I used to think the burning happened then and there never knew folk would be so desperate to get dark that they would knowingly cook themself more than once.

Re: just returned from JA

yeah, well, the burning comes always in the evening....)) I was trying to be sensible, stayed in the shadow, using high sunscreens, but ooops, in the evening i looked like a lobster)) nice thing was, JA people did not say lobster but strawberry....not that would make the suffering easier. and then depends what skin type you are, somebody gets brown then, somebody remains red and goes white again.I went all brown, and i got used to sun after 4 days.but anytime I sat on a plastic chair in a short skirt, it was a pain getting up later....cannot imagine

hello,
I cannot really tell you, negril is surely a magical point, you have many sorts of things going round there, but I just think you can avoid them...i just did my own things, found some amazing people there, have to say, it was full of italians though.
As to JA men, I have never dated any,I most certainly loved the looks of many of the men in the island, they do have wonderful features and bodies. But on the other hand, I think I have never told myself that I would prefer dark or white men. I like when they are MEN, whatever the colour, the state...and I like them tall and many black guys are much taller than the average European. I also have to say that we have no caribbean community here so I know nothing or very little about the culture and how they treat women, but i think it is very individual...that is why, I need to return to JA soon to discover

Re: just returned from JA

and as to people going around naked...yes they tend to wear less than we in Europe do but I have no issues looking at people confident enough to wear close to nothing and hav to say, I adjusted myself t otheir way very quickly....a swimsuit top and a skirt was all i needed there))
How much I miis it now, when having 2 sweaters, a jacket, fur boots and still feeling... COLD

Greetings Spicy, it's nice to be missed. Life goes on, no problems I can't handle. Any thoughts about the Nook from Barnes and Noble, nook, eBook reader, eReader - Barnes*&*Noble. It looks good but I'm thinking of waiting for the next generation.
