Hi everyone, I feel its now my turn to tell you all what Jamaica has meant to me and still does.
Jamaica is waking up in the morning and my neighbour's gardner is burning bush right outside my window (cough cough). After a nice cold shower I can smell the aroma of Ackee and salt fish being cooked and hear the frying pan giving the Johnnie cakes some colour. As I near the kitchen I smell fresh Blue Mountain coffee being perked, and trust me, that alone will get me going.
After breakfast I go outside to my sunshine and mountain view. The post man brings me the mail, and they are mostly bills that are due tomorrow

.
Jamaica is driving on the road when, in the oncoming traffic, there is a bus overtaking and he ends up in my lane looking right at me. He flashes his lights at me to indicate that I should get out of his way or else be another statistic.
Jamaica is sunshine on the rocks with a little twist of love. I remember House of Leo on a thursday night watching Stone Love, Base Odessy and Lovers Rock. At sessions like those skin colour, race and ethnicity has no place. As long as the music played, everything was cool and irie.
Jamaica is going to the beach and tanning before you had to go to work at 9:00. Jamaica is friends and family, all the time, every time. Whenever you see a Jamaican, no matter where, you always get that feeling that your right back home and a plate of stew peas could cure anything.
Jamaica is losing your closest friends to car crashes and crazed bus drivers.
Parties, weekend limes and Dominoes, with the overwelming chatter fueled by Appleton. Jamaica is waking up everyday in paradise, knowing you'll see your friends and family again. Live like there's no tomorrow, so when tomorrow comes, you'll remember yesterday forever.
I love Jamaica for what it has done to me and for what it has made me become. Would I do it all over again the same way?????
Sure i would.
