Have you notice how some (too many) little girls are dressed like "grown up models" .. mini-skirts exposing their thighs, a piece ofcloth, passing as a blouse, showing their belly button .. their hair all made up in a "fancy style"
what happen to the 2 braids (one on each side ) what happen to the pony tail... Why can't little girls be little girls anymore? ... If we think about it, kids are kids for perhaps 12-13 yrs... What's the rush!! ![]()

Re: Our Little Girls
Chile that's 10th wonder of the world...!!!!!
But it;s all about how they were raised...and even more so on peer pressure...their friends doing it so they feel that they have to do it too... I know alot of parents that raised their daughters properly but then when they leave the house it's something else...So i think it boils down to peer pressure...and what the media is showing and telling or young girls now....Look at all the music videos and stuff...almost all the women on there practically dress naked..and our little girls want to look and be like them... ....and even if we as parents talk to them...who to tell what they do when they go out or when we are not around... Paz i don't know what to say about this one....WE as parents just have to do our best and pray that our kids listen and follow our instructions..

Re: Our Little Girls
[i]Girl I toltally agree with you on this!!! Kids are just growing up too fast these days. I for one think the parents play a huge part in this, after all they are the ones buying the clothing or giving the child the money (depending on age) to buy the clothes. I remember when I was young in my early teens I decided to where eyeliner, well my JAMAICAN maddah almost av a fit, goh tek clat an goh wipe off di blak sinting roun yu y'eye is what she told me, and I had to do it!! Some of them dress why to provocative causing older men to oogle and salivate just looking at them!!!

...mi did ah look thru the window pon herHere's a bit of a commentary from Samantha Marks of The San Juan Star News Paper: " I was recently getting my hair cut in a salon and several women that were gathered there were teaching a young girl how to walk like a model. I watched as they showed her how to swing her hips and toss her long curly hair over her shoulder seducively. She wore "hip huggers", low-cut jeans with bell bottoms, a short tank top that showed off her stomach and high heel sandals. The total effect was that of a mini-model. I asked the women why she wasn't in school today, assuming she was at least seven or eight years old, and they all laughed. "She doesn't go to school", her Mother replied, "She's only four years old." If we as mothers don't set the rules from early on, then who will?

Re: Our Little Girls
uuuuugh!! it's like grooming little girls for those sick child molesters!!! A few weeks ago I was on the bus on my way to work when I saw this mother walking her 8 year old child to school. The child was wearing hot pants/daisy dukes shorts and a little top just barely covering her stomach. As they were crossing the street I noticed men in their cars oogling the child in a lustful manner like how they would look at a grown woman.

When I was growing up even the people on the street could talk to me and I listen...just a matter of obeying your elders and yor parents, following rules and regulations. What can we do but just hope and pray that our young ones grow up in the way that we teach them to. Peace. |
